One Little Word® 2015 | The Reading Of The Words
Tags:
I want to take a minute to thank everyone who added their word to the comments in my last One Little Word® post. I read through every single one and I love reading about your own personal reasons why.
I invited Liz Lamoreux to read the word list again this year for your listening enjoyment. Here you go:

There is absolutely still time to join the One Little Word® workshop if you are interested in making your word visible this year and sharing the journey with others.

I too missed where to put my word. I chose HEALTH. In all areas. Physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial. It's a big commitment but one I'm determined to work on.

When you first shared your word, I thought, "It's that time and I don't even have what it takes to choose." I'd been ruminating on the need for a word for 2015 and just couldn't find it in myself. I prayed about it. I left it alone thinking "It'll come eventually, sometimes that's what happens." But it didn't. Nothing. I sat down earlier this week to blog that there would be no "One Little Word" for me this year, I was just too weary and didn't have it in me. I'm still grieving (my Daddy died suddenly in late March 2014). And as I typed that particular thought on my blog, my mind went racing back to the morning after Daddy died. I had read a verse in Psalm 119 that talked about GRIEF and STRENGTH. WHAM! There we go! I HAD MY WORD!!!! And so, my word for 2015 is STRENGTH. I have seen my mom exhibit it in ways that have astounded me over the past 9 months and I am hoping to grow it in myself over the next 12.

Hi there, this is my first time in this journey. My word is responsible and it's more as a reminder to be responsible TO myself to take care of my health/weight, to be responsible in my marriage for ensuring I don't take my husband for granted, to be responsible for giving my young teen boy the space he needs to grow.

I didn't see my word on the list it is Over. I like all the combinations this word offers plus it is an adverb and an adjective and a preposition.

MY OLW this year is "accomplish." My husband gave it to me - when he woke up on January 1st, the first thing he said was "this will be a year of accomplishments for us." I hope so: I am on track to submit my PhD thesis in March and so become a doctor sometime in 2015 and we are planning the end-to-end walk (the length of the UK, just under 1,000 miles) as a summer holiday. So far so good - on the 3rd I had good news (sold a short story). :)
