December Daily® 2016 | Full Video Overview
As we continue moving forward towards December I wanted to take some time today to share an overview of my completed 2016 December Daily® album.
You can read about each individual day in my blog post archives (includes product details, etc). You can also check out my 2016 December Daily® videos on my youtube channel here.
I love to begin the process of putting together my own foundation pages (my starting point where I do some of my creating in advance of December) with a look back at my past albums. What did I love? What do I want to do different? What was I missing? These questions and the answers help inform the choices I'll be making as I build my album from now through December 25.
This project is attainable. This project, and the stories you will tell within this album, are valuable.
Here's a look at what I put together last year for my December Daily® album:
If you are interested in more full walk-throughs of all my past albums check out my Storytelling With December Daily® workshop which will be available starting on November 1st. If you've already taken that workshop and are looking for something new, check out by new December Daily® Product Play workshop which is now open for registration (first content will be available on November 1).
My plan is to work on my 2017 December Daily® foundation pages this week and share them on here soon.
My past December Daily® blog post archive is available here.
This was the first thing I did after getting my cup of tea this morning! I love this project and with every video I am so excited to begin my new album. Thank you Ali for introducing me to something that has become one of my favorite holiday traditions!

I just looked through my last couple of December Daily albums. I sometimes find that when I initially get the new December kit I get a little overwhelmed. I don't feel like I bought all that much product but I have no idea where to begin. Looking back is always helpful.
Plus I found there were a couple of pictures I forgot to print out and add (ooops) so I was able to take care of that too. :)

Thank you for sharing this! I was too deep in newbornville last December to follow along with your blog, so seeing this album now is a massively inspiring treat!

I'm still working on my DD2016 Album and I'm really looking for some me-time tomorrow morning to add the finishing touches. Thanks for your inspiration! Will you share a video about the december journal also?
We will when we get the "official" version in house!

I’m wondering how you type on the journaling cards? I assume the typing is done on the computer then printed on the card but how can you do that accurately? It looks so neat and tidy. I love the album and the inspiration it gives me!
Hi! I often use the digital version of the journal card and then just print and cut that out :). You can also set it up on your computer (a journal box) and then run the card through the printer (I usually adhere that to a piece of 8.5x11 paper).

So awesome to see again! Do you have a tool to punch holes in the papers to fit in the binders? I've been using a single hole punch but they come out wonky!
This is the 6-hole punch I'm using: http://amzn.to/2yLz5jZ

I love lately seeing that you don't always do an end page in ur albums. I rarely do either. Makes me feel better :)

Oh my gosh, I just had a chance to sit down and watch this video and I absolutely love how your album turned out last year! Thanks for the great over view and I'm looking forward to this year. I really like the idea of the Avery index tabs also. Can't wait to see what you create this year!!

Hi Ali, Just wondering your opinion. I got Photoshop Elements two years ago and have never really figured it out. I would really love to be able to print journaling directly on my photos. Does your digital class teach that? I was thinking about taking the new December product class but would really like to be able to use my Photoshop better! Thanks!
Hi! Yes! Definitely check out my Hybrid workshop - it will go over the basics and help you get going in the right direction!

I loved seeing your completed album. Thanks for sharing. Your first transparency with the embossed star on it, what brand of transparency is it? It seemed much thicker than the ink jet transparency.
Many thanks

I especially love the interview idea - will definitely include this in my album this year. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
