Welcome to December Daily® 2018 Day Three.
As many of you know, the kids around here aren't all here all the time so when that does happen we like to take advantage of the opportunity to do things together.
My story today is about asking the kids to fill out the tags that will become part of the tag book in the front of my album (I'll share more about that another day) and decorating the tree. We go for super low-key tree decorating and a family tree that only holds ornaments that belong to the kids. This is seriously my favorite thing. They each have a storage box that holds their ornaments and they will each get to take that with them when they move out on their own. It's a tradition that my family started when I was a kid and one of my favorites to pass on to these guys.
Here's how this story played out in my album:

When you watch the video below you'll see that I started out with a 6x8 photo that was inc color. I ended up switching it out because it felt too pink/warm - it happens. I also switched my Day 3 + Day 4 cards from my Foundation Pages.

On top of that 6x8 I added a large plastic circle + a chipboard circle (both from the Main Kit) along with a gold foil dot chipboard number. I also added a bit of washi tape to go along with the washi I used on the flip up on the second page of the spread.

I created a flip-up page over top of my tree decorating photo using a pattern transparency piece, washi tape, and a chipboard star.

The 4x6 photo with the white border was printed on my Epson PictureMate PM400 - that's the printer I use for all my 4x6 prints.

Simple hand-written journaling directly onto a 3x4 card from the Main Kit for the win.

We’ve been doing to ornament tradition. My parents did the same but didn’t buy many ornaments for us so I try to do a new one in my sons stocking every year!

We do personalized and dated ornaments each year for our daughter and continued the tradition with our grandson. Each year he loves searching the tree for his ornaments.
I think I need to add some black and white photos to my album this year.

Hi Ali,
I just wanted to say I so appreciate you sharing how your pages come together!! I also appreciate that you ran out of the one type of sticker and thought of a different idea (scrapbook celebs, they're just like us!) haha and the missing scissors again makes me realize I should get a nice pair of scissors for all my mom friends :)

Love how this spread turned out, Ali! Curious, what will you do with the pics you took of each kid with their favorite ornament?

You’ve inspired me to make a flip up and also to print a big phrase on my photo this week. Thanks for that! Loving these videos and can feel your absence right now as you’re gone. Looking forward to you being home. :) Here’s my Day Three... https://instagram.com/p/Bq-9sDgnqIr/
