Storytelling With Stamps | Dear Kids

Tags:

Thanks so much for joining me in this season of Storytelling With Stamps!

This is the last video for this release with Laura Wonsik but we'll be back again later this year with more fun ideas for using stamps.

Today's project - a short note to my kids - uses the new Love Is Love 6x8 Stamp Set:

Let's dive in to the video:

Here is a look at how this project turned out:

One of the things I love about memory keeping is the opportunity to say things I want to say to my kids.

For this project I used the "love is love" stamp set to create a background pattern and then added a Graphix Plastic Sheet on top (stitched on top) to create a pocket to hold a couple tags. Along the top of this page I created a custom Silhouette File and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut it out and then added a photo collage of all five kids behind the die cut.

To create my background pattern I used Olympia and Columbia inks along with two from Tim Holtz: Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood.

As you'll see in the video I start this project stamping all over the background (cut with my Silhouette). In the end I re-cut the Silhouette design because I liked it better on white without the stamping.

I printed my journaling on a printable transparency and laid it on top of one of the tags. Grosgrain ribbon comes in a package of a bunch of colors and can be found here.

On the second tag I paired a felt ampersand with a green foam alpha sticker set (for our two last names). On top of that I added a stamped sentiment from the Ali Phrases 4x6 Stamp Set.

Behind the Silhouette cut I added a collage of photos of the kids.
