Week In The Life™ 2025 | Ali's Thursday

Welcome to my words + photos post for Thursday of Week In The Life™ 2025.
I'm definitely finding myself just wanting to use my phone for photos - yay for ease. I'm also loving using my watch as my timer to take photos and used it a bunch of times over the course of the day to get some new angles and bring in a little more playfulness. I'm looking forward to experimenting with that again today.
Yay for making it to Friday!
Here's a look at my Thursday:
My present self thanked my past self for putting these Golden Celebration roses next to my bed. It's nice to wake up and see those first thing. Also notice: piles of books and piles of pens and a watercolor print I picked up in Seattle a few weekends ago.
And her. Such a snuggler.
Currently.
In addition to loving when I'm switching laundry between the washer and dryer, she also LOVES to grab my towel after I shower and pull it onto the ground. This happens every time I take a shower.

Making a coffee for Anna.
Getting my post set up for Wednesday and filling in a few more spots.
My sweater is from Pendleton. I love it.
Two zoom meetings yesterday.
I love how we run into each other throughout the day as we are doing our work. I had gone downstairs to make another coffee and chat about our weekend schedule.
On my desk. Flowers. Stickers. Ink + stamp. Red stapler. Lots of notes. Dog bags.
Working on samples of the next Stamps Are Fun set (coming on June 10th).
I'm super excited about this one.
Put together a Substack newsletter about three non-fiction books I'm enjoying right now.
Capturing what's happening on the girl's vanities. Top is Anna. Bottom is Audrey. It's what's real.
Roses for friends who have kids graduating this weekend.
Betty snuggling in a chair in Elliott's room. Aaron added curtains in here for him and it's so nice.
While waiting to head to a grad party I took a couple shots of me + Betty sitting on the front porch. This photo and the one below are from the same "live" shot - I was able to select multiple shots from there.
Seriously, I adore this dog.
And this jasmine. It is just about ready to explode.
Some of you might remember that this is a plant that's moved with me from each place I've lived here in Eugene. It lived in a pot for a number of years before we moved into this house. Obviously it has thrived here.

Love my friends.
Ernie in one of his favorite spots off the front porch.
And Sammy who knows who has the best lap.
Here's a look in my notebook:

I love the pic and story about Betty and your towel! My husky/lab mix takes it from the counter, pulls it into the bedroom and then rolls around on it EVERY DAY! Glad my dog isn't the only one! LOL I've been trying to get the perfect photo all week!

I admire how you manage to have such a full life - raising kids, growing a garden, tending to your animals and all while maintaining a thriving marriage and friendships plus an amazing creative career without any of it feeling “busy” or “stressful” - at least not across the internet! You inspire me in so many ways.
I have documented my Thursday here, maybe you’d like to stop by ☺️ https://brightandboldlife.com/thursday-a-week-in-my-life-2025/
