Week In The Life™ 2025 | Ali's Wednesday

Tags:

Welcome back to my series where I'm collecting my words + photos for Week In The Life™ 2025.

Here's a look at my Wednesday:

Audrey's backpacks (school + volleyball) on the counter as she gets her matcha ready before heading out the door.

Early morning at my desk working on yesterday's blog post.

Taking down the flowers that have reached their end and a couple coffee mugs from yesterday.

Harvesting some of the last of the peonies.

These magical beauties are a current favorite right now. I took another photo of them in the afternoon with different light.

Peonies for my desk.

Harvesting = more blooms to come.

Aaron eats blueberries every day.

Betty loves, loves, loves when laundry is transferred from the washer to the dryer. It's such a funny habit. She gets her nose right in there and wiggles around with excitement.

Thankful.

Returning to the office with new flowers and a new coffee.

The afternoon light.

They just keep coming.

Anna came home from school looking for me to let me know that the new season of Love Island USA started and we needed to watch the first episode. We had a lot of fun watching the last season so we wanted to watch along in real time this summer. She had a caprese salad after school while we watched before heading to volleyball practice from 6-9pm.

Aaron spent the day at his actual office (vs. working from home as he does most days) so I took the lead on getting dinner going. We had pork chops and a chopped salad.

Simon was here for dinner and a movie. He comes over about once a week for a meal and a show or to work on some of his projects. He'll be walking at graduation next week (still has a co-op experience to finish this summer) as he achieves his AA in Multimedia/Film Studies from our local community college. He's currently a mixture of excitement and overwhelm. He's been working on his final project and I can't wait to see it.

Simon captured this one while we folded laundry together. It's always better together.

Love a house full of teens and friends.

Simon wanted to watch the Director's Commentary version of the movie Crazy Rich Asians so that's what we did. I can totally see why he enjoys watching movies that way - you learn a lot about the process of filmmaking and the reasons decisions were made.

Making while watching/listening is my favorite thing right now.

Once the movie was over I headed upstairs to bed. Aaron and I watched some more AI videos on YouTube. It's all so bananas and so much more advanced than I realized. Are you guys paying attention to the things AI can do now? It's so crazy.

What a time to be alive.

Here's what I collected in the notebook:
