You know how sometimes a project just makes you so darn happy? This was one of those for me as I played with the newest Alphas Are Awesome set.

Due to technical issues I’m not able to share a process video for this one but I’ll talk you through it below.

A few things to note about this one:

1. The colors! I’ve been having so much fun with neon inks recently and you’ll see them appearing on a bunch of my projects. I used a combo of neon inks to stamp each letter on white cardstock and then cut out each one individually. I brought each of those individual letters together to create the top and bottom banners by running it through my sewing machine on top of the full page lake photo.

2. The 2x2 page protector. One thought I had while I was working on this is that it would be so fun to make an entire album of just 2x2 page protectors. It’s feeling like a chef’s kiss size for me right now.

3. I cut up some pattern paper from the Watercolor Scrapbook Kit into 2x2’s and used the number stamps to emboss 1-4 on top of the pattern paper. I used a pink neon embossing powder for that.

4. The next stamp I grabbed was a 3x4 stamp we released in June that includes text circles (along with other circles you can see below). I used that stamp as an accent on top of both the title and the 2x2 number squares. I also used the small filled in circle stamp from that set to create additional colorful circles on the number squares.

5. Once I figured out what my four current summer joys were I printed out the photos and created custom 2x2 squares with the joy using a bold version of Futura. I added a little phrase stamp from the August Stories By The Month on top.

6. For this one I didn’t feel like any additional journaling was needed. It’s a nice way to simply capture a few of the seasonal joys.
