December Daily® 2025 | Ali's Table Of Contents + Pre-December Stories
Tags:
I'm super excited to be diving into more pages for this year's project. Today I'll be sharing a look at my Table Of Contents and a pre-December stories page. Missed my reason why page? You can find that here.
Let's dive in!
And now let's take a look at some individual images.

I used the middle size of the metal die to cut out the "table of contents" from the PDF Idea Book in the new December Daily® Start Here class. In case you aren't in that class here's a download for you!
I added that directly on top of the full page Peace + Joy transparency.

On the back I added a piece of cream felt with one of the die cut phrases from the Main Kit stitched on top. I used the die again to cut the same shape from a piece of felt.
The next page is the Table Of Contents page from the Prompt Paper Pack. We also have that available digitally here. I will most likely be adding a title for each of my stories by hand in these spaces (the other thing I'm considering is using sticker paper).

This year I decided to add a new page to my album that highlights a few pre-December stories related to my work and to the kids getting really excited about Christmas starting November 1.

I started with this paper from the Cardstock Paper Pack (digital available here) and added three chipboard circles along with a bunch of embroidery stitched French knots. You could also use brads, gems, etc in those little circles if you weren't interested in diving into the French knot adventure. Here's a tutorial for learning how to do a French knot.
You can also see that I ran each of those chipboard circles through the sewing machine before adhering them on the page. You could dive into your stash for chipboard circles or circle stickers (stars would also be really fun here).

The next page that holds my pre-December stories is a 6x8 pocket page with the 2025 transparency (from the 3x8 set) stitched along the outside edge.
I took four of the 4x6 cards from the Specialty Card Pack and added 3.75 inch x 4 inch photos along the outside edge. On top of each photo I added one of the labels (I cut them at the 1.75 inch mark) and added the journaling I printed out on sticker paper.

In between the gold foil embossed numbers on the cards I added plastic stars from the Main Kit using a mini brad.
You could use this format for a variety of stories - not just pre-December. This might end up being Story 01 for you or you could use this foundation later in the month.

Love seeing your starting point for your album! So many great ideas. The wreath page looks great and love how you used the gold number cards! I’m not feeling in December creating mode yet but my box just arrived yesterday so hoping that will get me in the mood. (I’m out of town this weekend but hoping to play next week!)

Do you use special settings or needles to sew the chipboard? I tried last year and broke a needle. Thank you!

I love how this thread gets the creative juices flowing for December! It reminded me of a blog I found at https://balloons.online/blog/blowing-up-balloons-types-and-tips/, where they talk about choosing the right materials and prepping ahead. It’s similar to planning your December Daily stories—selecting the right elements and thinking ahead makes the whole process smoother. Just a helpful mindset to keep in mind when getting creative!

That post about December memories really hit home — there’s something special about slowing down, jotting things down, and rediscovering small moments before the holiday rush truly begins. Speaking of slowing down, I recently stumbled on something a bit different while unwinding: a little online game I tried at this link: https://online-aviator-game.in I know it sounds random, but after a day of browsing craft ideas and cozy winter reads, I gave it a shot for fun. I liked how it didn’t demand too much focus — just a few quick rounds, a bit of light suspense, and some easy wins that felt more about entertainment than chasing anything serious. It turned out to be a nice low‑key way to relax without overthinking things.

THIS is just beautiful! Although this can be said about ALL your creations- the WOW factor is off the charts here!! WELL DONE!! And I keep forgetting to ask you- do you need a specific setting or needle gauge on your sewing machine in order to sew through paper?
