Welcome to Story 06 in my 2025 December Daily® album.
I printed this fun/funny photo knowing I wanted to use it to tell a story about Simon making his now annual Christmas short. The photo is a still from a movie - wonderfully blurry and imperfect and full of life. I also felt like it was time to incorporate a shaker into my pages (and get out my Fuse tool to make it happen) - they always make me feel joy.
This photo is a great reminder for me to encourage you to tell the story of your own unique family. What makes them who they are? What can you celebrate about them? What do they do that's fun or funny? What are they into in this season?
And of course I love that Simon is wearing The Dude sweater that I passed on to him a few years ago. If you know, you know.
Let's dive into the video:
Here are additional images:

For this page I paired a full page photo (cut down) with one of the cards from the 3x8 Journal Card + Transparency set. I used a 6x8 page protector to create the pocket, Diary Of Belle Rose sequins, and used the Fuse Tool to close it all up and keep the sequins inside.

For the journaling I chose to print on a transparency and slip that inside the pocket before closing off the top. You can also print your journaling directly onto the card, use the die cuts in the same shape, handwrite your story, or use the digital version to add your text before printing.

I added my title to the outside of the page protector using an old gold foil six from my stash + the puffy "merry + bright" die cut from the Advent Calendar + "festive story" that was cut from one of the long labels in the main kit.
Hope you are having a nice weekend!

fuse tool tip- you can buy a mat to use under the fuse tool (but also just a silicone mat from dollar store would work)...i feel like it makes it a bit easier to get a good seal. Also for the sharker- i thought the sequins were going to go in between the background paper and the transparency so the journaling would be in front...just thought i would mention it incase someone was doing the same thing but was having problems seeing their journaling...no right or wrong, just another way...hope it helps :)
