Finally...

beginning to really feel like Christmas around here. It is just awesome. Put up the tree. Chris did the outside lights. Makes me so, so, so happy (even if I did not finish my album write-up like I had planned - this is way better). The house smells like that wonderful Christmas smell. And we found out that my brother John and his wife Liz will be here for part of the holiday. That totally made my day. Man I love that.

Also went to the grocery store for baking supplies :) and then to Goodwill with Simon. That was another favorite part of the day. This time he picked out a Woody (from Toy Story) doll - which is just like the one in the movie. He has not let go of him since we came home. He also chose a small piano that he has been punching away at all afternoon. He really has a thing for music (as he drums away on his drums while I type). Once again when I told him it was time to go he picked up the piano and started to carry it towards the door....and then he turned around and went back into the toy area and grabbed the Woody doll that he had found in the piles of toys they have at this particular Goodwill. Man I was beaming. I love seeing him make choices. Know what he wants. There is something so human and powerful about that...

And 60 Minutes is on tonight.
