AEzine Challenge: one little word
Tags:From Issue Eleven of the AEzine: This week your challenge is to create something, anything, that celebrates your chosen word for 2007. Maybe a layout. Maybe a blog posting or a journal entry or a simple post-it note that you put somewhere you can see it each day. Make sure to journal about why you chose your word and what it means for you - the more you let yourself explore the more benefit you will receive in the end.
I am hoping I was able to jot all of your words down - the response has been phenomenal. Please let me know if I missed yours, of if you are adding a new one today I will catch it later on and add it onto the master list of amazing, wonderful, inspirational words.
Here you go:
Wow. I am seriously wowed by this list. By the creative and touching and tough words you chose. By your willingness to do something. So proud of each and every one of you.
As for me, I have my word (peace) up on my wall in my studio and a magnet on my fridge that reads:
My Mom also sent me a reminder of the Prayer of St. Francis today...it fits in with what I want for myself this year (and in my entire life):
I am so looking forward to seeing how you have been inspired to creatively document your word.
Happy Monday!

My word: Move.
It has many meanings. I need to get off my butt and Move to start feeling better and healthier. I need to Move my thoughts in a more positive direction, towards creativity and inspiration and away from self doubt and negativity.
And a less thoughtful meaning, I need to Move to get out of this apartment and into a house so I can get away from my stupid, noisy upstairs neighbors.
So many meanings.

My chosen word for 2007 is "perform" but as I explain in my blog, I really like "PiPs" ~an acronym I devised for "projects in progress. So, I guess PiPs is it. More info at http://honorefrancois.typepad.com/tick_tock/2007/01/pipkits.html

Here is my post. It actually got kind of long, but I think it says everything that I needed to say. My word for 2007: SIMPLE.

This was fun. This is the first time I have participated in one of the challenges. And, maybe if I follow the direction of my word, life won't be so complicated and I can do more in the future.
Thanks for all the great words.

Howdy...
I blogged about my word "light" in last week's Studio Friday post. The prompt was based on something Twyla Tharp mentions in her book, The Creative Habit. What would you change your name to... I chose "Light" because that is my word, my beacon, my mantra. Thank you so much for your generous contributions to my personal and artistic growth.

I'd like to add my word to the list ... i actually don't think I've seen it mentioned yet. But for me, like others, one word just stood out in my mind right away, and mine is "POWER". I want to remember that I can change and accomplish what i want to do.
I posted a LO on CK, and here's the link:
