AEzine Challenge: one little word
Tags:From Issue Eleven of the AEzine: This week your challenge is to create something, anything, that celebrates your chosen word for 2007. Maybe a layout. Maybe a blog posting or a journal entry or a simple post-it note that you put somewhere you can see it each day. Make sure to journal about why you chose your word and what it means for you - the more you let yourself explore the more benefit you will receive in the end.
I am hoping I was able to jot all of your words down - the response has been phenomenal. Please let me know if I missed yours, of if you are adding a new one today I will catch it later on and add it onto the master list of amazing, wonderful, inspirational words.
Here you go:
Wow. I am seriously wowed by this list. By the creative and touching and tough words you chose. By your willingness to do something. So proud of each and every one of you.
As for me, I have my word (peace) up on my wall in my studio and a magnet on my fridge that reads:
My Mom also sent me a reminder of the Prayer of St. Francis today...it fits in with what I want for myself this year (and in my entire life):
I am so looking forward to seeing how you have been inspired to creatively document your word.
Happy Monday!

This was an great challenge. I really enjoyed it. My layout has a picture from 2006 of a dream that came true...taking classes from Ali. Your work is so inspiring to me. Then my layout goes on to list some dreams I have for 2007. Thanks Ali!

My word for 2007 is resolve. I never make resolutions because I can't seem to follow through. But, for some reason as I sat down to scrap on Friday afternoon, the title just came to me and freaked me out a little. Didn't think too much about it but just started writing.

I loved this challenge and have completed a page about my work relax and blogged about the entry too (5th and 6th January entries)

It was worrying that my husband guessed the word I had chosen so easily - it shows I really do need to do it.
Thank you so much for the challenge

Hi Ali. My word is RELEASE. The way I'm feeling about it reminds me of the prayer of St. Francis. I hope to post my very 1st layout on my word tonight. Thank you for your inspiration.

Ali,
Thanks for such a thought provoking first challenge for 2007. I know I wouldn't have addressed this if it hadn't been for you. I am excited to see where the year takes me and document my relationship with my word--TRUST.

Hi Ali
I just subscribed to your newsletter - well, I think I did - am not sure the form page actually worked on my computer, for some reason :-) and caught on to the wonderful idea of choosing an inspiring word for the year. Paula told me about you all.
My word is GENTLENESS.
I need much more of that in my life. It is linked to serenity and calm, and noticing, and being. I am so not like this. I would like to be more GENTLE and notice more GENTLENESS. The world can be a rough, fast, cold, hard place. My little corner can be more GENTLE perhaps...will be thinking about a LO or another way to show GENTLENESS on my blog in the next few days :-)

My word is MELLOW.
My creative project was to get everyone at work to also think of their word, then I made them all a little 6x6 project to keep on their desks to remind them of their word.
A piccie can be found on my blog here: http://creationsandruminations.blogspot.com/2007/01/aezine.html
Thank you for this Ali, I can't tell you how much positivity it's brought into the start of year :)

Ali, my one little word for 2007 has been staring me in my face. It was right under my nose - literally - my project RED GAP Tee - INSPI(RED). Remember how I told you that you have truly INSPIRED me and that my purpose was to create digital INSPIRATIONS for life... Well, thanks to your challenge/inspiration, the development of my one little word project is in process. After a year delay I am updating my digital INSPIRATIONS website and I have even decided to create a blog. My one little word is INSPIRE - In 2007, I want to INSPIRE greatness in others as you have for me.
