Way to go Mom & Dad.
photo by pati mcdougall (that would be my mom)
This is one of my favorites from a batch of photos my Mom left here recently. Simon and my Dad walking on the beach & clam digging as the fog rolled in. My new banner photo was taken on the same day, as was this one:
I am really enjoying these far away shots - they tell an entirely different story.
Way to go Mom & Dad - thanks for always supplying me with such beautiful photos from today and yesterday.
Edited: Mom & Dad shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT (same camera as I am using). I believe that she is shooting on automatic. If she lets me know differently I will pass along the information.
WOW!! What type of camera did your mom use. If manual what speed and film, B/W??
BEAUTIFUL!!
Thanks for sharing

Hi Ali: Deena from CT here. I love the pictures your Mom took. I agree, I'm getting the deep feeling that those pictures are setting off. I was just wondering where that location was. It looks beautiful. Thanks... :)

I love that you change your banners - I suspect that it is not hard at all however, I have not yet taken the time to figure out how to do a banner for my blog - could you post a quick tutorial on how you make a pic into your banner - whenever you get a chance of course :)

Fabulous moody photos! Especially love the banner photo with Simon off on the right third and the directional lines of the water :). (actually all 3 have wonderful directional lines---the boat pointing to your Dad and Simon, and the water line in the last photo marching up to your Dad again!) Great job Pati! I'm excited, just got the XT for my birthday on Saturday---yee-haw!

Ali - the last one would make a beautiful canvas print :) Perhaps you could have it printed and stretched and give it to them as a gift. :)

...what awesome photos ...did you become a life artist because your mom showed you the way or did she learn from you?
I have a four year old daughter and I want to get her interested in preserving memories, photography and all that. Just curious if you have any tips.
