Happy Thursday.

Made it safe and sound here to Savannah, Georgia last night. Good thing I decided to come in a day early - sounds like there is a lot of severe weather happening all over the US today.

Spending the morning tweaking my presentation for tomorrow and Saturday. I am here talking about the concept of scrapbooking our everyday lives - one of my favorite topics.

Donations are still coming in for Autism Speaks through the 6 Degrees badge. The contest goes through March 31 - we have a whole month to keep those numbers climbing higher and higher and stay in the top 6 (right now we are number 2).

How about trying to reach 300 donations by Monday?

To those of you who are outside the US and have tried to make a donation, thank you for trying. Unfortunately the Network for Good is only set up to accept US donations. You can donate directly to Autism Speaks here.

Again, thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. You are greatly appreciated.

Ali - your fundraising efforts for Autism Speaks is so appreciated! I am going to put the word out regarding this 6 Degrees badge to my fellow special needs mommies. Hopefully we can get back that number to 300!
Have a great time in Savannah! One of my favorite places!
    Blessings!

Enjoy yourself out there this weekend. And I think 300 is a great goal. I definitely think we should be in the #1 spot! I'll forward the badge to as many more people as I can think of.

I'm so glad to hear you're still at the top of the 6 Degrees campaign. We need to get you back up to number one, though! Thanks for the update.
Rumor has it (on 2peas) that you're going to stop teaching except for at CKU. Is that true? If so, is it just for a certain amount of time or indefinite? I remember a while back you said something about your responsibilities changing with CK. Is that something you can share with us?

    Hey Ali,
I am in Australia and couldnt donate either. I KNOW you are super busy but. I was wondering. Is there a paypal account that we can dontate to..and then have someone (an American) make the payments on our behalf so that we can still dontate..but the donations count towards the badge?

Your so right about the weather...it's a blizzard here in MN.
I heard on the weather that Savannah and other parts of southeast is getting hit with bad weather and even some parts tornados.
    Nasty! Stay safe!

Glad you made it safely to Savannah! Hope it's nice and warm there. Will you be dining at Paula Deen's restaurant? I just love her show. Take care and enjoy your classes.

See if you can make it to the Sentient Bean coffee shop while you're there! They have a wonderful little courtyard out back and the yummiest food.

I donated because I believe in you and the good that you are doing. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me on a daily basis. You will get your 300 because you asked for it. We just have to be open to the goodness that is all around us. Thank you for all that you give so freely to aspiring life artists. You are making a difference and changing lives!

Try to see if you can get in to The Lady and Sons to eat. Paula Deen, from Food Network's show Paula's Home Cooking. owns that restaurant along with Uncle Bubba's Oyster House.

My daughter is named Savannah! We had to move from NC to FL when she was 12 days old. So of course we stayed overnight in Savannah, GA to break up the drive. It is just a beautiful place but we haven't been able to go back since then, almost 4 years now. I look forward to seeing any pictures you share with us!
    Enjoy!

Ali, thanks so much for your pursuit of good and for helping Autism Speaks. My son is not autistic, but is in therapy for speech delay (verbal and oral apraxia). He has benefited from efforts like yours in an indirect way. For that, I am so, so grateful. And, every time I see the badge and the numbers growing, tears and love well up inside.
    Thanks to everyone else, too.

    Ali,
You inspired me to add a six degrees badge to my site and in 2 days I got 6 donations totalling $200 for Cure Autism Now. I am proud to be a part of such a great social experiment and my thanks to you for spreading the word!
