My photo struggle is to weed through the digital pictures online deciding which ones to scrap, am I okay with just putting some in traditional slot type albums (?), and what to do with the nonprint worthy pictures (am I okay to 'part' with them?).
I love checking out the daily photos of yourself, Ali. Pretty cool prespectives.

    Ali,
I am a photo and scrapbooking freak, but my greatest struggle right now is SEEING. I lost my son, Lucas in October in a freak accident behind our home. He was 11 and so full of life and love and strength and fun. I see photos and I dont know what to do with them, they are a hurtful reminder and yet they are also my therapy. I have had a sucky year so anything free and also "stacy julian" would be so awesome...

My biggest struggle is definately wanting to have the perfect picture. I miss possible good shots while I'm waiting for just the right moment. I'm a perfectionist!

My biggest struggle is doing something with the digital photos that I take. That and taking better photos more often.

I have made too many back up copies of my photos on several harddrives, with no structure what so ever. Gah! I now need to move them all into one location and have a software scan them and sort out just ONE copy of each photograph. Both to get the structure down, knowing that there are no forgotten images lingering outside my system and also to get many gigabytes of disk space back! Is there such a fantastic software or am I asking for too much? I really feel that this mountain of unsorted images is overwhelming me, but I feel I can't get started with the organization until I have them all gathered and am left with just ONE copy of each image...
Also, I need a software for Mac to use for browsing!
ACDsee does exactly what I want and I love it, but they don't develop it for Mac any longer. *Panic!*
Over the past 3 years, I have taken over 50.000 images, so I need something as smooth and quick as ACDsee in order to be able to browse, get rid of unwanted photos and move good photos to their proper place on the harddrive.
What I need to be able to do is to grade them 1-3 (1=delete, 2=average, 3=best) and then isolate a grade group, so that I can quickly delete all 1s and move the 2s and 3s to their appropriate places on the harddrive. The software has to be able to show the pics in full res, so I can spot unsharp images right away. I don't want to import the images into the software, just view them in Finder through the software. Any ideas?

My biggest photo problem right now is that my digital camera is dying, so sometimes I can get shots with it and sometimes I can't. I'm saving up for a new one!

My biggest struggle is getting enough light to just let go and snap away without worrying about composition. Part of it is my camera, and the rest is my apartment.

    Ali
After scrapbooking and takiing pictures for almost 9 years of my two nephews, I would have to say that I've taken way too many photos. I would like to learn not to take
too many and focus on a few, keeping it simple.

Definitely mastering my camera. Getting the right lense for the right setting, etc... I'd have to say that getting good action shots in an indoor setting is the hardest. I don't think I have one GREAT shot of my son playing basketball - and this is his third season! I'm sure there is a perfect (or at least better) lens out there (although also within my budget) that will get me the kind of shot I want.
I'm so anxious to get Stacy's book. I just know there are awesome pictures sitting out in my hundreds of folders that I'm not scrapping because I've forgotten all about them. I try to remember to put a copy the GREAT ones into a special folder when I'm downloading so I won't miss them. But, I don't always remember.
Thanks for doing this great give-away. YOU ROCK! And, not just because you're giving away free stuff. :) :) :)

Wow, Ali, 1,683 comments!! I'm sure you won't make it to mine (who has the time?!) but I thought I'd try anyway. I'm on the fence about Stacy's class because she and I have a different organizational approach (I scrap chronologically) and I don't want to get into the class and find out it doesn't suit me. I've been waiting patiently for her book to come out so I can make a decision but it may not be in time. We'll see...
    Take care! PAM

What photo problem don't I have? I take too many pics and they never turn out really good. I scrap the best ones, but then can't part with the ugly ones, so I have boxes of bad pics stored throughout the house. When I first got a digital camera I thought I would be able to delete the bad ones - but then I realized I couldnt tell which ones were good or bad so I still just print them all and then just pick the lesser ugly ones. (not even sure that's possible) :) I sit in awe of your photo ablity and have decided to do the 365 project in hopes that it will improve my photos - I used to blame it on my camera - now I know that it's not the camera - its me! lol You're awesome! thanks for all the insight and inspiration.

My biggest photo struggle is catching all the little moments in my photos, and then remembering those moments when I find the time to scrapbook the pictures.
You've been such an inspiration to help me create and look at life differently! Thanks Ali!

When I took photos with my film SLR I'd either a) think I took too many of an event and in reality, took 1 or 2 or b)took too many (an entire roll and printed doubles)of an event where I should have only taken a few! Just got a digital POS for Christmas so I'll see if I can correct this problem. Thanks!

My biggest issue with photo storage is storing the left overs of photographs I have scrapped. I'm always at war with myself about whether to keep them just in case I ever decide to "re-scrap" them. Just another of those "little issues" that turn what should be an easy job into something torturous!
    Have a great day!

    Hi Ali,
My biggest photo challenge is getting my camera back from one of my three sons. They are always wanting to take photos so whenever I get my camera out I'm besieged with cries of "can I take it?" "Let me take it!"

My biggest photo struggle has been being able to take photos in low light without them being blurry as all get out!!!
I just got a new Rebel XTi and a spiffy new 50mm lens, though & my photos are sooooo much better.
Now, I just need some good backgrounds and some nice weather so I can take some good outdoor shots....

Hmmm, my biggest photo struggle? choosing which to print next for the gallery, or the best method for archiving digital images... or how to get back into scrapbooking my photos that are now pushing 5 years behind.... or..... *sigh
