Yes, I couldn't agree more. Photos=happiness in my world too. This is why I spend hours with them. I play my iPhoto slideshow any time I am not using my computer so that I can see old & new photos regularly!
Thanks for your inspiration.
okay ALI... I know I'm a big nerd but this made me tear up a little! this is soooo true. I too get so happy to find old pics of my babies. Thank heavens for the camera and the fact that photo will forever save the little things we often forget!
I disagree. I think the photos are PERFECT. They totally capture Simon and who he is!
Personally, I am getting stressed about photo quality: there certainly are wonderful photographers out there (read Tara Whitney, Karen Russell and others), but I am not nor will I ever be a photographer of that quality. I am only going to strive for photos that I believe capture something, not perfectly, but still work.
I love both photos. I like the one of Simon under the desk in particular. It's like he's a Budda or a great wise man and this is his receiving cavern. He holds his audiences with the mere mortals under the desk. He's so beautiful and ethereal to look at at times :) Lucky lady to have such a gorgeous son!
Great photos. Love the first one, a quiet nice place to stay, actually i´m a little beat jelous of Simon...Life would be that simple for everybody, dont´t you think.
How do they get so big so fast?
That's what I want to know.
I can barely pick my daughter up. This time next year I probably won't be able to comfortably.
Not looking forward to that day.
okay- maybe I'ma total photo ditz but I can't see why these photos are imperfect. They tell the story, you focus immediately on Simon then take in the peripherals ( #1 - everyday life #2 summer ) I love 'em - you're too hard on yourself. And you have a BEAUTIFUL child. xx
Hello Ali...i have a lot of far away photo's from the 80's and early 90's that i will scrapbook because they are good enough to scrapbook in the 21st century

They're not imperfect photos at all, Ali! I love the bottom one. That warrants blowing up and hanging it on the wall!
