Right now I love the awareness that I feel as I'm on the lookout for great pictures, funny "quotes" and stories. My kids are funny and creative and infuriating all at the same time. I'm trying to focus the good.
I also have a question and hope it doesn't get lost in this avalanche of comments: Do you have a dedicated flash for your xti?

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is sharing what I'm going through with my family. I scrap a lot of personal growth moments, and it helps to be able to share those with those closest to me, without having to say it out loud.

My favorite thing - is sharing my work with my family. My daughter will be turning 3 next month and she's been looking through the albums and seeing herself grow over the last 3 years. She can't believe that she used to be a baby! Its funny.
I also love having art time with her in my office. While I work, she does to so we spend time together painting and stamping.
The last thing that I love is going to crops. This is really new for me - having never done this before this year. I enjoy spending time with the other ladies - so FUN.

My favorite thing about memory keeping RIGHT NOW is that it's my time alone, away from the fast track of life. I listen to my favorite tunes, pick through cool supplies that I'm dying to use, and just go with the flow :)

Since time has been sparse lately while one big event I am planning is coming up on the 8th, I have been writing everything down in my date book and taking lots of pictures. In Aug. I am going to take a picture a day and make a little mini album on our AUG. Looking forward to school starting soon and having a schedule again, which means more time to scrap!

My favorite thing about memory keeping at this very moment is looking through all of our old albums and enjoying the stories. I've never been a brilliant writer, but I'm super thankful I recognized early on how important it is to include written details. 13 years later and it has paid off a gazillion times over. Anytime I'm tempted to skimp I pull out an old album to remind myself of how much I would have forgotten if I hadn't taken the time to write.

My favorite memory keeping right now is watching my two girls look through old pictures and scrapbook pages from their books. It makes me very happy to see all my creations being enjoyed by two wonderful girls.

Hey Ali..
It's me.. Natalie T. from the O.C. Hope all is well....With all that's going on these days in my chaotic world, I don't have the time to scrapbook like I use to anymore. But I still love the hobby and try my best to document my families experiences. I have made a promise to myself not to buy anymore supplies until I use up at least half of what I have now....and just simply taking as many photos as I can is my way of "scrapbooking" these days....

One thing I love about memory keeping right now is preserving those memories of my brother and sister and I going on trips. Without the memory keeping I really think that those memories wouldn't last, but with it - look at all that I'll remember.
Does that make sense? To put it shortly - one thing I love about memory keeping is keeping thsoe memories :)

My favorite thing is watching my children as they look through their books and remember times. They love to see themselves as babies.

My favorite things about memory keeping right now is to let me family in 25-50-75-100 years know who i really am and the fun (and sometimes not so fun) things that have happened in my life. To me my scrapbooks are a very creative journal. i have never had much luck keeping up with a normal 'write everything down' jounral. now i can add pictures of me and my husband and family with journaling that tells a story around it..........to me memory keeping is a way of preserving ME/US/LOVE.

I have a horrible memory, so my favorite thing about memory keeping is that the pages help to jog my memory about a particular experience.

Oh my!! I just tried going to Studio Calico last night b/c I caved and was finally going to buy that kit but it's sold out!!!
My absolute favorite thing about memory keeping, in a simplistic way, is just the fact that I will remember all the "little" things that my kids do on a daily basis. I never want to forget what they said or how they said it. I have tons of pictures from each of their birthdays, holidays, but you can't take pictures of the the things they say. Those memories are invaluable and are the best part of memory keeping for me.

Memory keeping to me makes me think of the future, how my children will have these books to look at and show to there families. i love that you can put a couple of pictures on a piece of paper and it tells an entire story. And i love that there are no rules to it, you can do absolutley anything you like. Make it all your own. That to me is the best part of memory keeping.

My favorite thing about keeping memories alive is remembering how I feel and what is happening right now. Right now, my husband and I are enjoying life and 10/20/30 years from now, when we have children, I want to be able to look back and remember our lives at this moment. I love that I can do that.

My fave thing about memory keeping right now is the organizing. What I mean by that...I am currently in the middle of using Stacey J's book Photo Freedom to at last get all my photos and keepsakes organized! I am enjoying this process more than I imagined. Sifting through photos of my loved ones has been pure joy. I've been able to jot down notes for journaling, see photos I've had packed away for years and it just feels good to finally be doing this. What a great gift I'm giving to myself and my family!!

Two fold answer here. First off, I love documenting through scrapbooking because it shows my daughter that I NOTICED. I noticed when they were happy, I noticed how thier dad loved to pull them around the yard on sleds, I noticed how they slept with their new backpack because they loved it, etc. Secondly, I scrapbook because life is ever changing.I come from a big family (I have 35 FIRST cousins on my mother's side). When we get together the stories start to fly. I hear about things that happened in the 30's and 40's from my parents, aunts, and uncles. I realize that what seemed mundane to them (ice boxes and feeding chickens) is fascinating to me. They bring up things that I never knew (my mom got a ticket on her way to the ob/ gyn). I want to remember what life was like for my parents. I want my daughters to know what life was like for me. I want to document my daughters' lives so they can let their (future) children know. I playing with new products, but I consider that a perk that comes with the documenting life, not the reason I do it. Take care--aj
