Our son has just moved away from home to go to college and although I've made numerous albums of big moments in his life, right now I'm scrapping those small, but important stories I remember from his childhood. It's an excellent way to fill in the important gaps in his story and remembering them helps me cope with our empty nest.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that it provides me with a hobby that I am passionate about and I have something to show in the end. It is a purposeful hobby that provides a way to record events or just daily life of my beautiful family. I am hoping some day my three children will be really happy I took the time to make our books.

Hi Ali!
My favorite part of memory keeping is remembering to APPRECIATE THE ORDINARY. I love that scrapbooking involves not only special things we do and see but what we ate for breakfast or what TV shows we enjoy right now. I love documenting my everyday life.
Thanks for the inspiration!

500 comments! Oh my gosh.
Favorite thing about memory keeping is that it's helped me accept, even love, my crazy, imperfect, stressful life. I used to whine about not having the perfect home / job / body, etc. Guess I was always comparing myself to others / social standards.
But they say God is in the details. Memory making has, to some extent, helped me create an "altar for the everyday" and love what is here, and now, and mine. I'm done running after what I'm "supposed to be" and ready to love "what is." Besides, how can I possibly take myself too seriously when I have glitter and paint on my nose?! Life is messy. The point is to make the mess fun. :)
That's all!

Hi Ali - my fav thing about memory keeping right now is the feeling I get when I complete a layout, pride, joy, relief :o) I love this hobby for not just it's end product though, but also for the process too. Awesome giveaway! Have a great day.

Keeping memories is a way for me to count my blessings. Each moment is so precious to me and I find myself being thankful for each one as I save them in an album or create something else with them. In that way, my time spent memory keeping becomes a time for me to use my creativity, stay positive when life gets a little discouragng, and praise God for His many blessings.

My favorite thing right now is creating places to keep those little bits of life that future generations would not know about if not documented. Those little bits that make life rich.

Right now I am trying to dive in head first and fall in love with the creative process again. I hardly have scrapped for myself over the last few years, only for others -- so right now I am finding joy in creating things that will remain here with me to capture memories. My hubby even came home from work and got all excited that I scrapped for us!

Hi Ali!
My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is just taking pics of my kids everyday. They are changing so fast and I don't want to miss anything....also writing notes about what they say and do. Lots of living in the moment. Love it.

I love the passport collection, this is so fun! My favorite part about memory keeping at the moment is recording my grandmother's life. I've scanned in all of her old pictures from the 20's on, we sat down together and she told me when they are all taken and who is in them. I am so thankful we did that because since then she has developed Lou Gehrig's disease and has lost the ability to speak (among other things). She won't be with us much longer, and I am all the more grateful that I have her stories to document her life.

Because of uncertain circumstances I don't have much time at home lately, but I am still taking pictures to document what happens. I have gotten some precious shots and can't wait to have some time to get it all together! What an awesome giveaway!

One of my favorite things about memory keeping right now is collecting quotes from my little kids. It seems everyday I'm jotting down something hilarious that my 5 year old said. I think it will be such a treasure to have those snippets of real life & real conversation tucked away in our family scrapbooks.
The kit looks beautiful!!!!

I think it is the pictures. I'm no expert at taking photos so when I get a really great picture I get soooo excited. I love just looking at the pictures even if I don't get around to scrapbooking it for a while.
