I think what has ROCKED my world lately is reading Stacey Julian's book Photo Freedom. This has revolutionized the way I scrapbook. I have always wanted to break out of chronological scrapping, but didn't really know how until I read about Stacey's system.
Thanks for such a great giveaway to start off the week!

My favorite thing is being able to tell our story. I have been able to find a voice through which I can tell the story of my families adventures and daily activities. Thinking of that part really gets me excited to sit down and get started on whatever I am working on.

I am already loving looking back at my daughter's album, and she's only 8 months old. I know that I will appreciate all of the time that I put into her album for so many years to come. I love journaling to remember moments too- that is prob my favorite part of memory keeping and scrapbooking!

My favorite thing about mmory keeping right now is looking back through old photos and remembering all kinds of stories, and being told stories about certain photos. I've currently undertaken the project of scanning in all of my parents photos through the years so that we have digital copies of them, and it's so fun to look at old photos of them when they were young. I've even found a few postcards that they wrote back nd forth to each other in high school.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is the fact that it keeps the memories fresh in my kids minds. My 7 year old "remembers" things from when he was 2 or 3 that he has seen and read about in my layouts. It's awesome, I wish my mom had done this for me!

it's the little things for me, the little funny things the kids say and do on a daily basis, we will always remember and know that my son turned 3 but we might forgot how and could NOT decide what time of cake he wanted....next year he said he wanted pie

My favorite thing is watching my boys' joy in looking over their albums/projects. From the other room I can hear their stories of "remember when" and my youngest gets the biggest kick out of seeing his big brother as a baby. Pure bliss...

I love rcording my everyday things that aren't big to anyone else. I find this fun when I look back on what is included in my life and the people around me. Doing this allows me to just play and express creativity!!

The older I get the harder it is to remember things. There are just so many thing that happen each day that I never ever want to forget. Lots of giggles and tears shared when looking back through the years.

What I love about it right now is that I feel like I am in a real "transition" point in my life (just turned 25), and I have so many changes that are going to happen in the next few years (marriage, kids etc) and I really want to remember this time in viid detail, and so I am trying to get all my toughts and memories down on paper so that I will always remember these times :)

Thanks for the give-away, Ali! I am enjoying memory-keeping right now because, as I watch my only remaining grandparent start to slowly slip away, I am reminded that I, too, will be old someday. I don't want my kids to remember me only as an old and frail woman, especially if my ill health causes stress on my caregivers (which might be my own children). I want them to remember all of the fun times we had, the hard times we had...but most of all that they had a loving mother/grandmother, father/grandfather, brother, sister ... a family. As for me, I want to have a wall full of albums that I can pull out and remember those times, too. I will be able to remind myself that I have truly lived. And I've loved my life.

Hi Ali, my favourite thing right now is making unusual mini books, which you have inspired me to do.
I cannot wait for your new book to hit the stores.

I love the perspective I get from seeing my girls as they were when they were little and also seeing who they are now. It helps me to be more gentle and to savor every moment, even the challenging ones, because I can see how quickly time passes. It helps me to capture the moments that matter more. Besides, scrapbooking is always a great way to avoid doing the laundry.

My favorite things >right now< about memory keeping is getting down the stories. I have always had pictures, but now I have the stories behind them as well.
In 100 or even 20 years, will my children know and/or remember why I drove 45 minutes to meet Lain Ehmann and had the great fortune to also meet Stacy Julian, Renee Pearson and YES...the great Ali Edwards too? I want to remember and I want them to know.
BTW, gorgeous kit, I love that large road sign die cut paper.

Right now my favorite thing is reliving some very special travel memories. Last year we went to Italy for 2 weeks the 2nd of which was with my husband's extended family in Tuscany to celebrate his parents 50th wedding anniversary. I have been having so much fun remembering the moments of discovery with my children and the beauty of truly remarkable country.

Oh My over 600 comments....
Well, my favortie thing right now is working on old photos of my childhood, my siblings, and my parents. Remembering the things I loved best about growing up. I haven't worked on those memories in a very long time. So I'm happy to be preserving my childhood for my children.
Thanks, looking foward to winning one of those kits. Keep on inspiring!

Right now it's the realization that I can look back on a weekend that happened a year ago and really remember what happened and how it felt. If it weren't for scrapbooking, I don't think I'd go through that process.
