My personal favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that I have been making time in my life and space in my house so that I can focus on it. I love it and I love how artistic scrapbooking is these days.

My favorite thing is being brought back into the moment when I try and decide which picture to use.

I absolutely love scrapbooking, and I fear I have passed the obession onto my 3 daughters. I scrap everyday and my girls often join me (the memories made during these times are priceless). One of my most treasured mini albums is one with a few pics, and alot of quotes of the cute or funny things the girls have said. I was looking through it the other day and was amazed at how many I would not have remembered. I just sat there, teary-eyed and so very thankful I had jotted them down. What a special keepsake.

My favorite thing about memory-keeping is the merging of life and passion. I aim to record my many life stories in a way that fulfills both my love of journaling and love of designing with paper. What could be better? :)

I have always felt very strongly that I need to document who everyone in the picture is and when the photo was taken, so that I my great great grandchildren will know their family. I think it is very important. I have also recently been doing more and more blogging, although I don't know how long that will last. I also have been really into putting thoughts about my children down in their books. Things I want them to remember and things about how I feel about them.

Don't just record the memory....recreate the mood, sights and smells!
We all have a special scent that can vividly bring back an entire memory with one wiff!

My favorite thing about memory keeping is that it allows me to capture the moment and relive it forever, while being able to share it (those memories) with others as well.

Right now, my favorite thing about memory keeping is when my kids say "Mom, make a layout of this" or "take a picture of me doing this" because I know what I am doing is important to them :-)

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is the way my kids bug me to do another page for them and then to see their face light up when the look at the finished product.

I love pondering; what will we enjoy remembering about now? what will future generations enjoy learning about us and our lives? what memories will be passed along only because i chose to record them?
it's such a blessed "job", the memory keeper.

hi ali and anyone who reads the comments (like me... hehe) my favorite thing about memory keeping is just that- i have saved a memory, a snapshot of my personal history, for the future me to hold on to, learn from, and help me realize just how wonderful my life really has been (and continues to be.)
I can't wait to have my own kids to scrap for... i love when my mom shares her memories of me as a child... (well, sometimes i like it and sometimes i don't want to hear how hard i was... hehe)
really, for me it just comes down to find a way to learn from and honor the past while also finding the fun into today. thanks for everything!

My favorite thing right now about memory keeping is finding new ways to use things I already have laying around the house and incorporating them into my layouts and journals.

Hi Ali-
My favorite thing right now is making mini-books.... and I can say, gratefully, that you have really inspired me in this arena! I love that I can capture moments NOW - filled with cute things my 3 boys say and the memories of our daily lives . The "good old days" which pass way too fast and are so very precious.... Thanks for all the inspiration!

Hi Ali,
Love Your Work ;o). Memory Keeping for me right now- capturing, creating, preserving, sharing memories of my loved ones {4 kids, DH, Family, puppy} & capturing my Kindergarten Students in photographs that I can share with their families. Memory keeping is all of the above mixed together with ART & Fashion- Labor of Love.

The favorite thing about memory keeping for me is finding the tidbits I save from trips or special outings and figuring out a way to incorporate them into my pages! I just used some glue and paper strips to secure a plastic monkey from a tropical drink into my scrap pages. Fun!

My favorite thing is two-fold: One, I want my children to know how I feel about them and the other people in our life. I want to know that a piece of me will live on after I'm gone.
And two, I love going back and visiting old times. It is visiting those older times that I start to see the hand of God at work in my life.
Thanks for the thought provoking question this morning!
