Three Things : Wish List
Tags:Most weeksthree things tend to be products I have around here, things I have tried and loved or been inspired by. This week I am bringing you three things that are in my shopping cart that I am planning to order, try out + play with.
1. Autumn Leaves inks. There has been positive buzz on internet message boards recently about these inks. I am always on the lookout for good inks (my favorites tend to be from the little cats eye chalk inks + a few colors from Stampin Up - especially an old cranberry that I think was retired). Also just noticed that these inks are listed at 50% off on Two Peas.
2. Fiskars Threading Water Punch. Another tool I have seen mentioned lately is this one from Fiskars. I love scallops and I love circles and I think I am most excited to play with this one of the three.
3. Red Banner Die-Cut Paper from Creative Imaginations. I like die cut papers like this one with nice points and lines for journaling. The point can be used as a directional design device and the lines are great for keeping my journaling in line. Most of the time I have found that I like to cut sheets like this in half and use one on one layout and the other half on another (or on the second page of a two page spread as seen below).
[ layout from Creating Keepsakes, July 2008: SUPPLIES: Patterned Paper: Collage Press, Jenni Bowlin Studio Blue Die Cut; Journal Blocks: Heidi Swapp ("today" + light blue); Ruler Ribbon: Junkitz; Letter Stickers: American Crafts (white foam + paper white + black); Circle Accents: K&Company Spinner, Scenic Route; Pen: American Crafts]
[ Three Things is a weekly product series : check out the archives here. ]

Ali ~ I have the punch and LOVE it! I know you would love it also...it's just wonderful - I've already used it on several layouts already and I can't say that for all the tools I've just 'had to have' if you know what I mean. This one is a keeper.
I like that paper also - it's been on my wishlist at Two Peas for a while...have to get it with my next order.

I have the Threading Water punch. It is one fun little tool -- if you hide the circles, it looks like paper rickrack. I've had people ask me when I use it on cards if it is rickrack. I also used it in a layout where I hung tags from the circles. Very cool little device!

I stalked Target until I found the threading punch. Love it. I order some of ink, but they were already out of the aqua blue. Thanks for

That punch is on my wish list. :) I watched the demo on the Fiskars site and it looks too easy not to have one. Good item ideas this week!

Wow! Clearly lots of people read your blog. How wonderful. My favorite things about memory keeping is that I can do it and at the same time employ my cretive tendencies. I love that at the same time I creating art, I am also recording events of my beautiful family.

I'm another one who loves my threading water punch. Makes things much easier than hand cutting a scallop edge then using a hole punch & hammer!

I have actually seen a lot of layouts with the scalloped edges (some with circle cuts) and wished I had a punch to create this look!! That is a great idea to get 2 page layouts with one decorative piece of paper!!!
