My favorite mini album was one I made for a friend who was going through some hard times. It was a paper bag book I had sewn together entitled "You are..." Each page had a word that described how special she is and my thoughts as to why. The last page was a fill in the blank puzzle sort of page where she had to use each of the first letters of the words already listed in the book and unscramble them to find out the last word that best describes her...Priceless! She liked it and I liked it b/c I got to see it bring a smile to her face!

My favorite mini book was the one I created to remember my engagement to my husband. My second favorite was inspired by you, a 30 day count down to my wedding day. Look forward to seeing some new ideas and inspiration from this new book!

I'm currently working on a minibook about our summer. The next project is a minibook for each of my kids about their school year. It will be an ongoing project with 1 page for each month of school.

I cannot wait to see this book in person!!! I just bought Life Artist a couple weeks ago and was sooo inspired! I created my first "Today You..." page last night!
My favorite mini album I have made is one called "Five Questions on Your Fifth Birthday" about my son turning five...I asked him five questions about the last year and recorded his answers in the mini...
I can't wait to see this book!

My favorite mini lately is one I made about a weekend away with Jeremy, in Dallas for our anniversary. We stayed at a really fun, hip and modern hotel( a treat for us) and enjoyed the big city life for a few days. I used my white modern acrylic for the album b/c it went with the style of the hotel and all of the little treasures from the stay, like fun room keys, cool hotel stationary etc.
We always talk about the past year of our marriage and what we hope for the year to come. This mini album was a great place to document those things and remember for the future.
So So excited about your new book!

For the past couple of years, I've participated in Shimelle's Christmas Journal Class. I first read about it on your blog! It makes me take time out of the busy holiday season to quiet myself to make a little bit of art every day. Thanks for your recommendation! Congratulations on your new book!

My favorite mini of the moment is actually one I made with my mom and sister. I bought them each a kit and we all made a similar book with our own flair. Our book had pictures from this summer's days together. It was exciting because I had just given birth to my daughter. The first granddaughter...Also, it was hard because my mom had just lost her mom. And summer is always a great time because my parents, who are missionaries in Cambodia, come home for a month every summer. I just love the pictures in that book and the book itself is lots of fun too because I used one of Magestical Memories' All Mixed Up books.

I love, love, love mini albums! One of my favorites is one I did for my dh for Valentine's Day one year -- took portraits of our 3 kids in red, denim, and white and compiled a book that shows a bunch of their personalities.

Hi Ali!
Last Fall, I made a mini-book showcasing pictures from a Pumpkins In The Park Festival. I used a circle mini-book and converted it to look like a pumpkin. All the paper/embellishments were a orange/brown scheme. Lots of fun!

My current favorite mini is my Letters to Santa book. Each page is a 5x7 manilla envelope held together with the zutter comb binding. Each envelope contains a copy of the letters to Santa that year and on the front it is scrapped with my kids with Santa that year. All the pages are complete, even though only a few of the envelopes are filled. I think it will be fun to look back on years to come.
Congrats on the new book -- I plan to get one one way or another!!

Love, love mini-albums - this is all I've done for a few years now! Can't wait to see the new book. Currently working on a mixed media seashell etc. mini album for my mom featuring her grandchildren at the beach.

My favorite mini book is one I created using Cathy Zielske's month tags last spring. I did "Spring Break Stories" detailing all the things my son and I did over Spring Break. So fun to have it done so quick!

Hi Ali,
Congratulations to you and the entire family for the upcoming arrival of a new little person in your lives!
Although I have made very few minibooks (two, to be exact), I would have to say that my favorite so far is one I made of our beach trip last year. Almost all the products I used I already owned (minus a few embellishments), and it had been a project I had envisioned long before I actually started it. It was also a project in which I let myself experiment a little with different page sizes, photo enlargements, and different techniques.
Have a great day!

I actually have two favorites and believe it or not they are about me! The first one is a 6x6 album called "Lessons of Life from Mom". Each "spread" features one life lesson on one page and a coordinating picture that kind of illustrates my point. The other book is an 8x8 called "Random Me from A-Z". These two books are a comfort to me because if something should ever happen to me my son will know how I felt about life and few little trivia things about me and he won't forget me.

I am so excited for your new book! I am currently working on a mini book for part 1 of my recent honeymoon to the Cook Islands. I don't know what to do about my 1,500 photos for part 2 in New Zealand though =)

I love making mini books! My favorite is one I don't even own. I made it for nephew; it features photos of him and my husband (his unc) last summer.

I am planning to create a minibook for each of my nieces and nephews (6 total) of our family reunion in August. I usually just make a copy for each of my sisters (4 and 1 for my dad) but we had so much fun I want the kids to have there own copy.
