My favorite mini book was from a trip to Michigan when my hubby and I went. We were going for a wedding (one of his cousins) and we went out on a boat with a friend of his from high school and I made the book on a retreat weekend and I was SO PROUD of it. I still pull it out all the time.
The best part? I didn't think too hard about it- just used what I had, what pictures I had, what supplies I had on hand. And I would not change one thing.

Ooh! I'm so pleased that you've done another book!! I have all 3 of your others & refer to them all the time!
I have 2 favourites! One is a Bazzill Basics zipper album filled with funny things that my friends have, so it's basically all quotes with only a few pics, but it makes me laugh!
The other is an album about 2007 made from giant playing cards. It's super funky!

My favorite mini book was a book that I made last year for my principal. She had to miss a week of school to have her gal bladder removed. I made her a colorful collage book full of funny cartoons of things that might happen while the principal is away! Kids gone wild! I also go to use up some of those old fashioned school papers, stickers and stamps that never seem to fit any other pages....It was so cute and she loved it!

I'm planning a mini-book about books my kids love. They're 5 and 7 and learning to read.
Also considering a school-bus shaped one for both with a page devoted to each "first day of school" including their own hand-written reactions...a mini in progress!!
And a thought for those with new little ones...a mini showcasing each of baby's bitty parts, especially those cute hand-dimples!!!

I love how compact and versatile mini books can be. I love the ones on my kiddos. Just random everyday things. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.

Not sure if this counts as a book but starting in Oct '07 and lasting a year, a group of us girls have been creating on card a week (using a deck of playing cards) and altering them. We call it 52-card scrap up. Each week is a different theme. In the end (which is coming up quickly!) we will have a "book" of cards with a taste of life from each week of the year. It's been fun!

I plan to make a book for my husband with pictures from all his athletic cycling and running events. I am so excited for this book because mini albums are hard for me, and I love your style. In fact you have created so many mini projects that take my breathe away. I also love how you store them in easy to access baskets. Thanks for the chance to win!

I can't wait to look through your newest book. You always have so much that inspires me in each one! My favorite mini book is one about my babies Halloween costumes. It's so fun to look at what they dressed up as each year!

Saturday night I got together with some great ladies for a Girls Night. Sunday I had half the minibook finished (it's very pink). I will finish it tonight and give it to the hostess tomorrow - I can hardly wait to give it to her!
Thanks for the giveaway. I have your other books, and I look forward to this one - especially since it's about minibooks!

My favorite mini book is actually a project I completed in your class, Ali.It is the All about Home mini book that I took in a class at CK and I LOVE this one. It helped me to see that scrapbooking the every day is important since it changes so quickly. My HOME has changed since I made that book. I also just completed a mini book about my son's football season last year and I used a Tinkering Ink chipboard & acrylic book. Love the effect and it was super fun!
Can't wait to see you new book! Joy:-)

I would love to make one for my daughter who will be graduating from high school next year. I know she won't appreciate it now, but later, when she has her own children I think she'll like it more.

I am so inspired by the whole one word concept that you started. I have my word for the year and I live by it!!! Honestly.. .love the idea and the focus it gives me...
I love the challenge blog and site as well but never have time to head over every week so I jotted down the words that speak to me and am going to create a mini using the "One Little Word" words.... smaller pages... more simple... same concept and I get to voice my thoughts on the words...!
Own it... do it... Done

I've found that if I think it through in advance, that is, what I want to say and show, and a color/papers/elements theme to use throughout, that mini-books are no longer scary. I made one for my mom of the trip to Myrtle Beach that she joined us on, just before my father's death. She said that just looking through the pages brought her right back to those days - I couldn't have asked for a nicer compliment.

I am planning on creating a mini book for my nieces 4th birthday trip to the American Girls Bistro. We had a great time enjoying brunch and perusing the aisles admiring all the American Girls. I have all the photos printed out and have to put them together but am getting ready to go to CE08 and then Jamaica!

One of my favorite mini-book projects was making personalized mini-books for all of my bridemaids. They are so fun and fast!
