Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I promised my son that I would make a scrapbook of his tour of duty in Iraq. He has been back for 10 months and I have gathered things into a pile but haven't even put together one page.

Cool albums!
My wedding was in June, and I promised my mom a scrapbook for Christmas. I've been putting it off because we have almost 1,000 great photos from our photographer and the thought of trying to narrow those down is daunting! I know I better get moving soon though if I expect to have an entire album finished before Christmas. :\

I have been putting off working on my 18 month old son's baby album. I keep thinking that I will come up with some fabulous idea or product. I need to just do it and feel good about getting it done - even if it's not perfect.

I have been putting off putting together my daughter's 1st year scrapbook. I have all the materials and most of the pictures picked. I just keep spending my free time editing pictures for Flickr instead. Guess I need to find the balance!

I love these acrylic albums! I just made one last month in a class at Archivers & it turned out awesome. I've been putting off creating Christmas layouts. I have no idea why. I'm still trying to figure that out!

How much time do you have? There are so many projects that I have in my head, so many saved ideas on my computer, so many books on creativity yet to be read. It seems that ever since I retired I have so little time. What is that about?
I have an acrylic album that I bought after I saw your very first project using the clear album. It sits waiting. I have a Christmas Traditions album half done. I have a Narratives kit hanging about until I find the perfect theme. Your "Beautiful" kit is on my desk - opened but alone. And then there's my art journal, the Halloween costume, the camping trip, the birthday party......gads, what am I doing here when there is so much to be done?
Ali all you have done is wakened my guilt gene. Now I will need an extra coffee and more blog reading to de-stress. Oh, and that cute little clear album would go a long way in calming my anxiety.

I have been putting off an album for my mother about her mother. She died 1 year ago and I just can't get "un-stuck" and work on it.
Great giveaway:) Thanks...

The albums look gorgeous! It will be so much fun to play with them!
It is difficult to pick one project that I am putting off LOL Let's say the oldest will be my wedding album. 12 years ago I decided not to order a professional album but to make my own. Still waiting for the perfect time. I guess I am afraid of the size of this project and my desire to make it absolutely perfect :)

Hi Ali,
It sounds so silly but I've been putting off the layout of my baby showers for my first son. He's four now and almost "caught up" with every other life event, but those darn shower pictures still haunt me. Something about how cutesy they are doesn't make me want to scrap them. Or maybe it was the 45 pounds I was wearing!
Have a great day! Love these acrylic albums, especially the tab one. It's my new fav mini album.

I have been wanting to put together an album for our new baby-on-the way. I wanted to leave the pages mostly blank so that when the baby is born, there are spaces for the hospital photos, the birth story, first photos with siblings, etc. I think I have been putting it of because I have not gotten used to the idea that there really will be another little one around here. Maybe when the baby is bigger and it is closer to the delivery date, I'll be more motivate to make it!

What have I been putting off??? Well, ever since I finished my wedding album (almost 2 years ago now) I have been putting off starting my family heritage album. Which is foolish, esp. with the current living wealth of knowledge that could pass on...
Thanks for the opp Ali! :) Have a great weekend... my parents are coming from Ohio to visit and see our new house for the first time! :)

I have been putting of doing our trip to a cabin this summer. I love the memories we created and have been afraid I won't love the resulting mini-book as much once I make it!

I have several projects that I have put off:
one is a mini album about my husbands year in Vietnam and another is an album about our (husband and me) life together. I've gathered photos, etc, but just can't seem to get them started. I spend most of my time scrapping the grandkids instead!

I have been putting off my honeymoon album. We went to Vegas and there are so many pictures...have no idea where to start. I have always wanted to experiment with clear albums...this would be an awesome opportunity. Thanks for always doing such great give aways. :)

I love reading your blog! I have been putting off my Cocoa Daisy travel album from your kit! I just love that MM travel line and I am stumped with it because I love all the elements so much. It doesn't help that my scrap space is all out of order again due to a recent move (courtesy of the ARMY...again). Thanks for all the inspiration!

I have been putting off doing a travel album. Every trip my husband and I have taken, the pictures are in piles and not in my scrapbooks. I think I started with the ideas that they would be in separate albums, but day to day scrapbooking always seemed more important. Now, some of the trips were years ago and I think it seems overwhelming to go back and scrap them.
