Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Oh I just love the clear albums! What am I putting off...how much room do we have to write...ehem...um...my wedding album, the girls school albums, last year...I like to try to do some chronological...but then I've kinda gotten away from that and it made me feel a little free-er...so maybe I shouldn't...vacations from the last 3 years...gosh...I better stop...I'll get depressed ;D...Thanks for another great give-a-way!!!

hmmmmm.......... i have quite a few but my oldest would be my wedding album. It's supposed to be so special. I really don't want to muss it up by scrapping it and then not liking it down the road.

I recently (okay, now not so recently) went to New Orleans for work and was able to squeeze in some power touristing. I have great pics and ephemera and am still trying to figure out to include bits of it all. Love the way you used paint as an adhesive in the album above!!!

Oh goodness, I can't wait to try these albums ...
I have to tell you ... I started my wedding album about a year and a half ago. Haven't worked on it in a year. I'm getting to the part where I actually write out the words about how that day went (instead of just cutting/gluing paper) ... and I can't wrap my head around it, I guess.

I've been putting off anything Christmas because I never love my photos - too busy in the moment to set up great photos - but I always love the paper, and don't want to ruin it with the photos. KWIM?

I have been putting off doing a ton of photos from my nephew's wedding. Sometimes I have to wait until I feel inspired. We had three weddings in the family last year and I have only gotten one of them scrapped. The third one I haven't even printed out the photos yet. I do have the paper and some supplies for the second wedding that I am waiting to scrap. Love the acrylic albums. Thanks for writing your blog.

I've been putting off adding photos to a clear scrap album that I have. The album is all done with paper and embellishments....but no photos!!! I love the way that it looks, but I really want to make sure that ALL of the photos are cohesive and the album makes sense.

an album about my son's grandfathers. Both of their grandfathers had died before the oldest was born. he recently asked me what a grandfather was and why God didn't just make him a new one and it made my heart hurt. I just don't know where to start and I really want to show my boys what great men their granfathers were. Add to that the fact that there are few pictures of both of them and it just seems like an overwhelming and very emotional project.

I have been putting off a few bigger projects, my son's newborn layouts and my wedding album. It is mostly due to time and wanting it to be perfect which is something I need to get over I know. I expect way more of myeslf with scrapping than the people who look at my scrapbooks do :-)

Putting off? Hmmmmm... just about anything SB related. I hurt for the idea that I won't have any more pics of my oldest... that the photos I have are it... no more, ever this side of Heaven. :(
I like the 8x8.

(sigh....) I haven't found the mojo to scrap my Anaheim CKU 07' pictures. I took soooo (HUNDREDS) many pictures at CKU, now I'm overwhelmed. Since the event last June, till this day, I only scrapped a total of 2 CKU layouts--which one barely completed this past weekend! LOL

Love your acrylic album, such a great idea to use paint as adhesive!
I've been putting of sewing table skirts for my craft room because when I get a chance to hang out in there, my scrappy supplies call to me, so I scrap - oh well, one day!

I need to do a book about a boy from Africa that lived with us for 8 months last year. He was here for medical treatment and left in April.
I have all the memoribilia saved and all the pictures organized, but I just can't bring myself to start it. I think the emotion is still just a little too raw from saying goodbye. I really fell in love with him and I miss him terribly every single day...
