Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I've been putting off an album of family stories, like when my brother shaved off his eyebrows or when the dog slyly stole the baby's cookie because I have to dig up pictures from around that time.

I have been putting off doing a project about me... maybe a "me" album... why have i been putting it off? i have no idea, maybe because it is about me... kind of sounds boring to me! but i know that my kids will like to see it someday.

A small 8x8 retirement album for my father. The layouts are done. I just wanted to fix an album for him to journal about different places at work and things that he did. I wanted to have the journaling prompts preprinted papers so he wouldn't feel so overwhelmed to write. I have put it off because I can't decide what questions or prompts to include in the album.

TIME, or the lack of it. Somenights I will sit down to start on a project or mini album, i will sort through all my photos and supplies and then realize that its midnight i should really get some sleep...however, i find the process of thinking creativly just as rewarding as creating itself :)

I've been putting of making an acrylic album! Everytime I see one, I want to buy it to try it - but I always put it back. thinking it would be too hard. Winning this giveaway would make it so I couldn't "put it back" I'd have to do it! . . . I'd finally get to do it!

I have putting off making our Christmas albums. I have everything set into sets with papers, pictures, embellishments, but when I actually sit and want to do it, I feel stuck. I have no idea why Christmas is so hard for me to scrap.

My daughters' first year albums. I want something clean and simple. One is 7 and the other one is 15 months. I don't know if I want to do a comparative album with the oldest on the left and the youngest on the right (one spread for each month) or one mini album for each.

the journaling to a family vacation mini-book that actually turned into like a 30+page album...the task "seems" overwhelming because I typically am not a journal-er, but it is something that I want to do more of to capture those moments and remember them as I did at the time. so what it comes down to is that I pretty much just have to DO it...and stop worrying about my words so much.

Definately have been putting off scrapbooking our honeymoonphoto's from december 2004. We went to the Dominican Republic and after 3 days in paradise i was quickly taken to hospital with bad foodpoisening, and spent 4 days on a drip in hospital and the rest of our remaining days there in the cabin (in bed). We took photo's anyway, because it was part of how it just was. And some hospitalphoto's are very funny. I want to scrap them, but i don't want to kinda 'relive' the whole thing, so i booked a seat on a wonderful workshop "finish one album in a day", cos i know i'll be so busy scrappin' i won't have a chance to get into it again *LOL*

I've been putting off scrapbooking in general. I spend more time in my scrappy room organizing my supplies and my photos than I do actually scrapbooking. It's really quite sad. :(

I have all my daughter's wedding photos arranged and laying on the pages, but hesitate to do any more because I can't decide on how I want to embellish the pages--not much embellishment, but some. I collected lots of paper before the wedding (2+years) ago, but I'm afraid to dive in. Sadly, this is only one of several projects that are in a similar state!

I've been putting off a wedding album for my niece and I'm not sure why. I have the cover of the album done and I have the theme for journaling done but it's been sitting like that for awhile. I'm sure if I'd get the photos selected and printed, then I'd be inspired to finish it. Better get working on that eh?

OMGosh! Lots of great posts!
I have been putting off my husbands snowmobile season and our family trip to Seattle where we visited the aquarium and the zoo. Both events have some great pics that I'm really proud of but my creativity has been in a funk...hope to snap out of it soon!
Your projects are always FAB! I seem to turn to your blog each time I'm in a funk. Your projects look so creative and thought out yet easy...thanks for being a great inspiration!

Trying a clear album actually. I'm not sure what about it makes it scary to me! I love the look of them, but I can't seem to actually buy and use one.

I have been putting off all three of my kid's baby albums. They were each started, but then I got busy with toddlerdom. I keep thinking I'll go back to the baby stuff when they are in high school and I'll miss them being so small.
