Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

My Disney Trip from December 2007. It wasn't a great trip. I've just been putting off putting the not so great memories into an album. Also, my year in review layouts. I've got folders for the past 4 years, but haven't sat down to do them.

I've been putting off an album of the favorite places in our old house. We just moved & I'm afraid I'll start crying because I miss our old neighborhood so much.

I've been putting off starting a mini album BUT with my copy of Mini Albums in an Evening arriving in not-so-sunny Scotland this morning I'm just about good to go. Would love to try an acrylic album (hint hint!)

Hi Ali, love that album...I think the project I'm mostly putting off is my travels over the summer. Probably for the same reason I put off any others...for fear that they won't be good enough. I also get caught up in "not Ali enough" or "not Rebecca Sower enough." I love the look of you and Rebecca and several others and would love to develop a style similar, but can't seem to get there.
What I really need to work on is developing the Jennifer style!

I have been putting off my childhood album (before my parents were divorced), I think haven't made sense of it all yet.

I have been putting off a layout about my grandfather. He passed away last October after having Alzheimer's for 7 years. I need to record how I felt at his death, the memories that I have of him, and the regret that I never really got to know him and have few memories of him before the Alzheimer's. It will be a difficult layout in some ways, but also a celebration of his life and the legacy he left behind.

I've been putting off my wedding album....once our baby entered the scene the wedding shots took a major backseat. Perhaps a small acrylic album would remedy this? ;)

I've been putting off doing an album about my son. I've only been scrapbooking for a few years & my son is 31! The thought of spending hours & hours going through old albums & deciding on what pictures to use is overwhelming.

I have been putting off an album of how my husband and I met and fell in love. The project seems so massive that I keep putting it on the back burner and doing smaller, "easier" projects.

Projects I'm putting off. Well, I'm not so much putting them off as I don't have the time. My brother was married in July and my little sister is getting married next weekend so I've been a little busy this summer with that and a myriad of other things. I have two mini-books I want to do. 1. is a baseball album for my cousin. She loves Joe Mauer of the MN Twins so I want to make it for her as a gift. I'm going to use a round mini album and make it look like a baseball.
2. I want to make a thank you gift for my Aunt. I went and visited her in Florida early spring and I want to make her a thank you gift using pictures I took.
So please pick me. please please please. :)

Fell in love with your acrylic albums the first time you showed them - would LOVE to win one so I could start!
Also bought an album to use your multi-sized pages idea, but haven't begun that either - trying to come up with a theme...

Without a doubt, an album about my sister. It will be 10 years on Christmas Day since she's been gone and I still haven't started the album. As much as I WANT too, I know the pain involved and it holds me back...

I have been putting off two albums that I really want to do but the emotions of doing it scare me and also I want it to be perfect (I know, bad me) and so I have not started either one. The first is an album about my son's time in the Army and in Iraq. The second is an album of my Grandma's recipes and my memories of her cooking and what I learned about cooking and food from her. I'm in tears right now thinking about how much I want to do these but also how hard the journaling will be.
Anyway, those are the two albums I've been putting off.

I've ben putting off making a clear acrylic album, funny enough.h. I bought one, picked out the papers and photos but I'm just intimidated, LOL! So winning this might just give me the push I need to enter the acrylic world!

Cute books!
I've been putting off an album about a trip I took back "home" last summer with my husband and 2 children. It conjured up too many emotions and it was the last thing we did before I got sick(fibromyalgia). Now when I look at the photos it feels a little overwhelming and at the same time I long for those days where I didn't have to worry about how I would feel and could just go.
