Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Lately, I've been putting off EVERYTHING! I've been too busy with other activities to sit down and scrap. Perhaps I just need some new clear albums as inspiration.... :-)

I've been putting off my son's first birthday. There are so many pics and I haven't decided which ones to enlarge. But I need to just dive right in! Love your Easter album.

I am putting off my weddign album. Our photographer did not do reprints - he just gave us the negatives. However, most of them were NOT 35mm, so when I called around for prices, I got a whole range of answers. I ended up putting this off and never going back to it.

Memory books for my kids about their youngest sibling, who died a few months ago. Looking at photos is still pretty painful.

My son is named after my maternal grandfather who passed away when I was in high school. I want to make a page all about grandpa so that my son can learn about him and know where his name comes from. Gathering the photos has been incredibly fun and emotional, but writing the journaling just seems to get me stuck because I can't possibly put into words what an incredible man he was. It feels like I can't do him justice and so I keep putting it off.

I put off any layouts about my grandma (who passed away a few years back) or pets that have passed on. I want to preserve all the memories while they are still clear in my mind, but it hurts *so* much to see all the photos and try to articulate my emotions. So I keep putting those layouts off...

I've been putting off scrapping about our vacation to Hawaii almost 3 years ago. It was a gorgeous place to visit, and I was pregnant with our 2nd child, so it was a VERY special trip. And, we got to witness one of my husband's best friends get married! The pictures are so beautiful, I'm almost afraid to scrap them, which is why I've been putting it off. If I win, the clear albums would be a beautiful "canvas" to showcase these pics.

I've pulled all of my childhood photos out of the old, sticky album they were in, but have yet to scrap them.

I am putting off my daughter's 1st birthday layout/album. She is 14 months old already! Time flies. P.S. Our son wanted to name our daughter Lucy too before she was born...I got a kick out of reading that about Simon. Must be a popular name for big brothers to want for their sweet sisters!! ; )

I went to Haiti last fall on a mission trip and have been putting off creating a travel album of the highlights because there are just too many photos to dig into. Thinking if a make a smaller mini album on one area then this might be a good start.

I've been putting off my wedding album. We have been married for 20 years. Back in 1988, we didn't have alot of money so we thought we would save money and not have a photographer. BIG mistake!!! I REALLY regreat that decision. All we have is photos from friends and family and not many are any good. Those clear albums are great!!!

Oh my...what have I NOT been putting off??
I would start an album then midway thru 'life happens' and I would have to put it away until another time, but then I get inspired with another project and forget about it.
Thanks for a chance to play with a great product.

I am putting off my college graduation. I graduated in 2001 (UW, with honors thank you very much) and at the time was a single mom with a small child. Since then, it has been weighing on me to do it, but I am always behind and feel it is more important to work on my son's albums than my own. Why do we do this as parents? I am really proud of this accomplishment in my life, yet won't spend the time to focus on me.

Hi Ali-
I have been putting off REALITY - those moments you do so well! I seem to find it easy to scrap what I thought were the big ticket items - holidays, birthdays, achievements, vacations...
But what I have learned from you and others is that every day life, those moments that will never be repeated and that you cannot get back (sunday breakfast, brushing teeth, baby blankie love, messy hair days, book reading, snuggling...those are the real moments that take our breath away and will help us carry our memories forever...

This sounds kind of embarrassing, but I've delayed putting together an All About Me album together because I'm waiting for a 'good picture' of myself. Will that ever happen? This was a good question and opportunity for me to take a good look why I haven't done that album, that already has all the components assembled, except for pictures!

I've been putting off finishing my daughter Eliza's 1st year album. It's just a matter of ordering the rest of the year and putting them in an album. She's 2 1/2 now so I need to really get going on this!
