Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

To find time to scrap is a luxury...so I don't intentionally put thing off..but I never seem to caught up!

It's not a project but a technique I've been putting off. I love to scrapbook chronologically. Every now and then I challenge myself to try something new on the current page. I just can't get myself to try transparencies or acrylic accents. I see them in the store, and they look pricey, so I pass them by!

My baby's baby book. He's two now. You'll see. Two isn't double the work; it's exponential. What is keeping me from doing it is not being sure how I want to memorialize the year--the options are, well, endless.

I've been putting off an album about my "little" (21 at the time) brother who died 10 years ago. It's difficult to delve into my feelings and memories, and I want it to be a perfect tribute to him.

I've been putting of scrapping my travel pics from previous travels... I guess because there are so many of them and I don't have all the details about the photos and I don't really remember so much about the situations anymore! I'm glad I kept a travel journal during our latest trip - it was quick and easy to write a few bullet points each night and now I've got all my journalling done for that album and 4 pages done already.

I have been putting off my sons 6th grade year....perhaps because he is growing up so fast, and I just want him to stop!

My 3.5 year old daughter pulls out her baby album at least once a week to look at and is enamored by the pictures...but it's unfortunate that the pictures are only up to her first 4 months of life when I was still on maternity leave! I have promised her that I will catch up on days/months/years thereafter, so these mini albums would be great journals to get going again!

I've been putting off doing my (and my husband's) military career album(s)...maybe because at almost 22 years I don't want to admit that I am closer to the end of my career than to the beginning...it's been good, not all good, but good challenging and satisfying.

I've been putting off finishing a commissioned pastel painting, scrapbooking anything, and finishing another painting for a show coming up early October... I have been knitting mittens, hanging out with my soon to leave for college daughter, camping, & freezing beans!

"Our First Home" album. First, because I have to have everything clean before I'll even consider taking pictures, then I have to take all the pictures. Just sounds like way too much work!! LOL. We're moving in April so I can't procrastinate much longer . . .

I have been putting off all my scrapbooking. I have so much to get caught up on that I don't really know where to start. Plus, I have not had a chance to get together with my girlfriends for some scrapping time. I am LOVING the clear albums.

I have been putting off scrapbooking my 50th year album. I hit this milestone birthday in April, and like a little squirrel I have been gathering stuff to record this year and have it nestled in a box ready to go when I take a vacation week in October.

ive had the idea for a layout for months now, and ive done nothing about it. im scared to start and not get it right. it will be about my teddy bear, Brownie. i got him from my grandma when i was 2 years old, and now my 4 year old son sleeps with him. He's a very important part of my life, and i cant get the LO wrong.
