Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Your album is so cute. I'd love to win your give-away and use the album to make one for my DGD. Last year she went to a police sponsored camp and did horse back riding, climbed a 40 foot tall telephone pole! and stood up on it and then did a zip line ride down to the ground. I've been putting off scrapping these pictures looking for the right album...hopefully this is my time to win. :-) Thanks!

I have been putting off scrapbooking our evacuation from the California fires last year. I have a few pictures and a lot of thoughts, but I have not been able to make a page for some reason. On a positive note, I finally scrapped some pictures I took of the Twin Towers during a trip to NY one month before 9/11. I feel like after all these years, I did it justice and got the journaling right - my memories and feelings about 9/11 with a few simple pictures. Thanks.

I've been scrapping for about 5 years and I've yet to complete any LO's of my childhood. I did not have a very happy one and it is too upsetting to scrap, even though I know it's important that I tell my story. I keep saying someday....

I'm putting off finishing my christmas album from last year. I just don't know how to finish it and finish the pages so they don't look like the rest of the album pages. Lesson learned though...if I'm doing an album of one event, do it simple, same embellishments, paper and so forth for the whole album!! :) love your blog Ali!!

I've been putting off doing albums for both of my children's professional portraits - school pics, soccer pics, etc. I want to have one album for each of them with all of those pictures separate from the normal "family" albums I work on. Since they're 8 and 10 I have a fair number of layouts ahead of me so think that's keeping me from jumping in.
I love the clear albums and they would be very happy in my house. :-)

Oh jeez, what don't I put off? I guess the biggest thing is - I was a camp counselor this summer at the most amazing summer camp EVER, Spring Hill - I got extremely close to God and was so inspired by the kids. It seriously changed my life. Obviously I really want to document it! But I'm really intimidated by the journaling because it feels like such a huge task. I've got bits and pieces of everything from this summer in one big envelope, and I'm scared to death of it. Oh Ali, actually, just typing this out gets me excited...and makes me want to go work on it. Haha. =) Thanks for the encouragement.

I keep putting off finishing a minibook about me...Why? I don't have enough pictures of me! This is a solvable problem, I know.

Everything - I've lost my mojo I think! We are going through a tough time like so many others at the moment (husbands lost his job) so I would just love to be motivated to get going and try to feel optimistic about the future.

I have been putting off doing an album for my nephew. He is almost a year old now. Wasn't sure what kind of album to use, but wanted to do a smaller one.

I have been putting off finishing my wedding album. We've been married for almost 11 years and I only have half of it completed. I've been having too much fun with acrylic (ironically) to finish the older post bound album. I just finished an acrylic album of my 8yo's class:

As always, thanks for the awesome inspiration!

Love those books. I tend to make mini-albums of special times instead of continually producing layouts (somehow those make me feel even more behind). Anyway... I've been putting off a summer trip from 2005! Yes, that's right, 2005. I've done things since but that project is still awaiting me.

Last years school page. The only pages I repeat annually are birthdays, Christmas and a double page school spread. The school spread includes dozens of miniaturised examples of my daughter's work, report pages, awards etc. I takes me about about 30 hours to do each year and as I repeat a design lacks much creative challenge. Still, it is a terrific record so I'd better get my act together. Cheers

I have been putting off doing layouts of my boys from when they were younger. I now have a baby girl who is 1 and it is really fun to pull out all the pink and ribbon and frills. So the boys get put on the back burner. Not that boys aren't fun to scrapbook, but I've had seven years of boys, so pink is fairly new around here!

I've been putting off doing albums for my kids because I don't know where to start! They are 33 & 31 and I took thousands of pics of them. I have the pics all sorted just need to get some mojo to get them started. I usually do all of my scrapbooks in a theme using the same basic colors throughout the book. But to do a whole childs life, not sure where to start!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to win a clear album. I've been wanting to make one of those :-)

I have been putting off my wedding album. The photos I have aren't really great or even good!! We didn't hire a professional.
:( I need to reprint and crop and enlarge at least a hand full so as to make album for our children to enjoy. We'll have been married 21 yrs next month and my 14yr old has only seen the pics once.....
