Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I've been putting off layouts about past generations. I'm just now getting copies of the old photographs, but seem too busy keeping up on current photos and my 3 kids' albums.

I have been putting off my sons "first year" album. I had planned it all out and bought product and everything but for some reason I find the whole thing unispirational at this point. I have done layouts of him in that era since but have not worked on the album. Did I mention my son will be seven in a couple of weeks? Bad I know! I just need to finish it and cross it off the list, which has many unfinished things on it.

I've been putting off finishing a mini book about where we used to live (Wash, DC) - I think it's because I'm still trying to get over our move myself and it might be too sad :(

I've been putting off working on my son's basketball pictures, from 2nd grade through present (he's now in 10th grade). Can't decide exactly how to tackle that one. Thanks for the opportunity to win something wonderful on your site! Kristen in Roseville

Oh gosh...where to begin. I am putting off so many things b/c I just started a new teaching job and am taking two graduate classes toward my Masters degree at the same time. I can't wait to get back to work on albums and pages! Someday soon I hope!

I have a huge stack of photos to go through waiting on my desk, plus a bunch of pictures on my camera to go through. It's just not really that fun of a job to do. When my kids are in bed and I have the time, I would much rather be reading blogs or sewing.

I have been putting off my daughter's school book. I have been collecting the photos and memoriabilia and even have the Becky Higgins kit, but just can't seem to get started on it.

I've been trying to finish several layouts, actually. Specifically, those to go in a Mother/Daughter 8x8 scrapbook I'd love to finish and give to my mom for xmas. I recently went back to work, and it's seriously cut into my scrapping time!!

oh lovely clear albums!
Sadly I've been putting off our wedding pictures. Mostly because I'm not like them at all... It didn't become the wedding of my dreams so I think I haven't the right feelings for the pictures either...

I have been putting off my wedding pages (almost 4 years later). It just seems too overwhelming and like they are too precious that I wouldn't even know where to start. Thanks for the giveaway Ali!

I've had this 'brilliant' idea to do a tag alblum about tags and I've been saving clothing tags, candy bar wrappers, that sort of thing, for a few years, with the intention of doing one for each member of the family. One day . . .

hi! I've been procrastinatingly (word?) putting off my house album. I want to do a clear, acrylic album, bought an idea book around it, some papers, but everything has just sat. It stresses me out a little working with acrylic! But, I just got back from Scrapest at the Mall of America and attended two acrylic book classes, LOADED up my shopping backet at Archivers with way too much stuff for it...and am ready to go. Yet, I still haven't started on it. Maybe because we just moved in to the house, maybe because I just want to play with our son, Connor, when I get home, and maybe because it still freaks me out a little!

I have been putting off making an album for my husband's band. He is the drummer and I keep thinking one day I will get the perfect picture of him playing, but they never seem to come out. The lighting is always bad for stage shots and he is moving around so much. Perhaps I will use your square punch idea and just collage an assortment of "elements" from the pictures I do have.

I have been putting off completing mini-albums I am making for friends highlighting our yearly get-togethers(we all live in different parts of the country.) I guess I still don't have a clear enough vision of how I want them to be...but it's probably time to just plunge in.
Thanks for all of the inspiration, Ali!
