Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off scrapping the last trip my mom and I took together. Always whenever we returned I jumped into scrapping the moment so I didn't forget any of the fun stuff. Now I think I'm savoring it because it was "the last"...

Our Disney World album. I want it to be "perfect", of course, but I know I need to get going on it while the memories are still fresh in all of our minds.

I've been putting off scrapping my wedding photos because they are all film and we don't have negatives for them. The only ones we really have are in a proof album or our main wedding album.

I'm so addicted to clear albums after making my first at CHA-Houston! :) These are lovely! I've been putting off more albums than I care to admit, but the one I NEED to start is my wedding album. I'm overwhelmed by the photos and memories/emotions I want to document, but have been trying to take it "one memory at a time" and focus on capturing that by including only the most important photos to illustrate the moment. My biggest struggle is narrowing it all down! Thanks for the giveaways!

Neat albums! A project I've been putting off is........ I'd like to make some canvas layouts that I can hang on the wall... I'm going for a certain look, and afraid my hands won't be able to do what my mind's eye can see... I've been putting it off and off again until perfect inspiration coupled with a whole lot more confidence than I can muster. There. Now that its written out, perhaps I am one step closer to actually doing it. :) Thank you for that, and the chance to win some really fun things.

I have been putting off the album of my dad. He passed away in 2004, but I haven't had the muster to scrapbook about him yet. There are too many thoughts and memories of him that I just haven't been able to put into words.

My grandson and his dog. The dog is getting up there in age and not so healthy anymore. I guess I am just worried when something happens to the dog he will not want to look at pictures of her.

I have a "Life's Golden Nuggets" book that I want to do for my kids.....pages communicating to them what I view to be the very fabric, the non-negotiables, of life. I want this to be a true resource for them as they grow. I'm putting it off because 1) I want it to be just right, 2) I haven't yet found the perfect format, and 3) they are important words and I'm letting the content simmer for a bit.
Thanks,
Nicole

OH NO! Where do I start? A "Proud" mini for my son, a "Perspective" layout, and finishing a "Chicago" layout and many, many more. Mainly I just get sidetracked with other layouts & mini's, or simply just don't have the time. Right now I'm cleaning up from a flooded basement, which was where my craft area is located. I love the clear albums too.

I have seriously been putting off doing some sort of book/album for my wedding, which was over 11 years ago now. I wish I could do it, but I am scared to actually start i think. It is on my "someday" list. I do have some journalling done, memories of the day and how we felt, so that is something.

I have been putting off doing our Disney albums. I think because there are sooo many pictures that it seems so overwhelming. I have 2 separate trips to do. At this point I'm thinking about doing a comparison album. I was good and I have everything journaled from both trips, but now I just have to sit down and get the pics and journaling down on a page.

I've been putting off making an album for my parents' 26th wedding anniversary. I meant to put all their pictures together from their ancient daiting pictures to recent family photos but just never got around to it.

Hi Ali,
With the total remodel of my kitchen this summer, I've been putting off the reorganization of my scrapbook room. I need to go there...in a few more weeks.

The question is more like: Which project am I not putting off? I have so many mini albums in particular that I either need certain pictures for or some certain thing to complete them that I don't have at the moment I think about doing it. I really need to just put one on my desk and start with one. I end of feeling overwhelmed with too much stuff and so nothing gets done!
I have really been wanting an acrylic album though!
