Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Oh boy - incompletes? I have been putting off doing a Christmas mini book from last year. To be honest I am worried that it will not live up to my imagination so I keep putting it off. And of course I also have those items that I don't seem to finish like a Halloween mini book, and some trip pages because I get caught in that perfectionist trap.

Oh the big thing I keep avoiding is the kids School Albums -- I haven't even started them yet -- I have bought stuff and it is neatly organized -- I have the albums and everything -- not sure why but I guess it has something to do with feelin so far behind already but in reality they are ONLY in the 2nd and 3rd grade -- that isnt CRAZY BEHIND -- I mean it would be a much more difficult to start if they were ummmmm let's say ....in college
So now I think I have officially talked myself into getting started --- thanks Ali

The first/title page layout for my cousin's wedding album, which is their wedding gift from me, is the one I've been putting off lately. It also happens to be my gateway into the rest of the album and I can't seem to get past it. I think I'm just scared that it won't look good and that the album won't live up to their expectations. They were so excited about the idea but I'm afraid they'll be disappointed with the results.

I've been putting off our Montana trip. Usually I get so excited after a trip that I jump right in. I have SO many pictures and so much journaling that I'm overwhelmed. also, a size or format just almost always seems obvious for a project, but not this one. Still thinking...
Thanks for the chance to win such a clearly cool prize!

I've been pretty creative recently making several mini-albums and layouts. BUT I have been putting off making a really big album which my Father-in-law has asked me to make for my Mother-in-law's 65th Birthday. The problem is that I been given a disc of 90+ photos and he wants it to be a 6 x 6 post bound album! I've now got the album and the photos printed, I just need to work out a scheme that will flow nicely throughout the album, then get on and do it.

I have been putting off an album about my husband that came in a kit. the biggest reason for the procrastination is that I have a hard time fitting my feelings into preprinted prompts. Need to go ahead and break the rules!

I have been putting off the scrap book of my childhood photos. I am not sure why I can't just sit down and start it! I think that the problem is I hardly ever scrap about just myself, I am always telling the story of someone or something that my friends, family, or husband has done.

Ali, you are always an inspiration. Until we moved I didn't have a space to work -- and now...just 3 years behind, I'm finally starting on my son's first birthday. He'll be 4 in a few months. Sad, isn't it? :) Gotta start somewhere!

Lets just say that my husband and I just recently celebrated our 3rd year of marriage and I have yet to finish our wedding album. You know that I hear about this everyday and everytime I make something for someone else to enjoy. I am trying really hard to make it in the next 8 weeks with the Two Peas challenge.

I have been putting off doing a mini album of my trip to Paris. I just have so many pictures that I can't seem to narrow it down. My journaling is on scraps of paper that have crunch corner from being neglected. I had such a perfect trip that I want the minibook to be perfect too.

Christmas presents from over 3 years ago. The recipients have graciously not nagged me about them....but I need to get them finished before this Christmas.
Why I have not finished them?.....who knows!

List only one project I've been putting off? How embarrassing to tell you I have several!!! With 3 kids & a husband, a full time job, time is a huge factor. I tend to be overwhelmed with the enormity of so many projects and am trying to focus on breaking them into smaller bites. The one project that is really on my heart and mind constantly to complete is my son's high school prom, graduation and trip off to college in San Diego (sob)...as those events are still so fresh in my head and I have so many facts and emotions I really need to articulate before they're blurred by the next major event in our home.

My shutterfly end of the year album. I want to do one so badly but have been procrastinating because I am afraid I will get part way through and then get stuck after devoting a bunch of time.

I am procrastinating my (4) kids baby books and though my wedding album was "completed" in time for our 9th wedding anniversary I still need to complete the journaling!

I have been putting off scrapping my childhood photos. I have so few photos and so much to say and document. I suppose I should get started on that, but it is so much easier to work on my own children's photos.

The last photo of my dad alive...it's still hard to figure out what I want to say, or have the layout "feel like" and it's been almost five years now.
