Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Oooh, I'm so embarrassed to admit this but I've been putting off doing school albums for each of my daughters. I've been saving all of their school photos, school work, report cards and all that other important memorabilia but I haven't actually started the albums. I've made plans over the years to get started on it but something always comes up and it just never gets done. My oldest just started middle school and I feel sheer panic every time I think about how I haven't started her book. It's gotten to the point where I'm just too overwhelmed by it all and I don't know where to start. I'm really worried that they'll never get done at all and I know that I need to make it a serious priority for me here very soon.

My Aunt was a missionary nurse in China for 23 years. Her history is so fascinating... but there's so much information and empherma, that i'm not sure how to organize all of her stuff (red cross/ miliary nurse/missionary nurse, etc) into a workable and interesting scrapbook.

I have been thinking about making an album of my husband's life since we got married but the pictures are all over the place, with huge gaps missing. The task feels daunting.

I have been putting off my family heritage scrapbook. I have done so much research and gathered lots and lots of photos, but I want it to be perfect because I am going to share it with my family members. I need to let go of the looking perfect thing and just play.
Thanks!

Love Clear Scraps!!
As for a project I've been putting off, I'd have to say my daughter's baby photos. I so want to do them, but then get caught up in the daily grind.

Oh boy - good question to ask especially the why part as I hadn't given the why part a lot of thought! If I ask myself truthfully - I have been putting off a Christmas mini album as well as finishing a Halloween mini album because I get caught up in perfectionist fear, like a fear that what I do will never live up to my vision. Silly, I know, as I end up without anything.

Hi Ali,
What a generous giveaway...thank you. Anyway, the project I have been putting off is a journalling project. I think I was using 'venue' as an excuse but now I have a cool book from Carol Wingert's Creatologie that I am making and I cannot wait to start writing in it. I am going to start with an amazing discovery from today...the beach was aflutter with thousands of Monarch butterflies. What a joy; it was beautiful. And, of course, I forgot my camera so words are all I have to record the memory.

I did a set of mini books about my childhood and now I'm putting off doing my husband's because I don't want to have to dig through the pictures and make sense of them all.

I've been putting off our heritage album. I have an idea of where I want to go with the album it's just the fact that the pictures are so old. It's scary doing anything semi-permanent with them. :) Thanks for the great giveaway.

I've been putting off an album of our Disney vacation (our first) from two years ago. I have such great photos and have started to work with them a couple of times, but I always get sidetracked by all the stuff and really just want to keep it simple and journal about the memories we made. UGH! will I ever get it done? We leave Monday for our second visit to Disney! :)

I've been putting off creating a layout of my brother's last visit to my house. He visited me last June and died in July. I have great pictures and it is such an important memory to record, but the emotion of it seems a little overwhelming.

I have been putting off all scrapping lately. I hadn't made a true page in almost 18 months. I broke thru that last week when I started digi-scrapping after watching some tutorials on PSE. Then today (now that I no longer feel overwhelmed that I am SO behind) I went to the LSS with some girlfriends and scrapped! For 4 blissful hours while the kids were at school --now I remember why I was hooked for so long!

The project I have been putting off is a mini book about my passions. What makes me me. I have done many things about others and I want to explore some projects that reflect me. Sound selfish? Hope not!! I have been putting it off because I have MS and have had a bad flare this summer. Its been miserable! The pain and eye problems. But I stay grateful, most of the time, LOL!! But I am getting better and can't wait to get back to my studio room!!

I have been putting off a double layout of my brother's wedding. My daughter was the flower girl. I have so many ideas about this project, i can't get it to gel. Maybe I should do a mini book and that might give me some more freedom.
Thanks

I've been putting off finishing a mini-book of a trip to NYC last fall with my DH. Really just need to add the journaling . . . and I'm already starting to forget some of the details, which makes me really sad. Guess it's pregnancy brain!
