Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Hi Ali, I keep putting off 2 trips from Arizona - a year apart. Why? I can't decide what size? Mini album? 12x12? Don't know.

I've been putting off doing an album of my favourite music - too much of it to choose from! Maybe a fixe number of pages might focus my mind...

Ali! What a great giveaway! I hope I win!
Now, about projects that I'm putting off... The main one is my wedding album. First, because to get the rights to print my own pictures, I need to buy the $500 CD from our photographers. Then, I am just in awe of the huge task ahead that I can't see straight. What if I like the album now and I hate it a few years from now? I have the theme, but I just need to overcome these issues before I move ahead.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I have been putting off doing an album of what our family is calling the best year ever. My husband had time off from his active duty career and we got to travel and do many things that my husband and I have waited 25 years to do and we got to share them with our daughter.

My little boys baby album. He is nearly 2.5 years old and I am still up to the hospital photos (hangs head in shame..LOL). I want it to be a very plain, simple, coordinated, and "timeless" album. But I really have more fun scrapping in a more random and ecclectic way, so I am a bit slow on doing his album as it isn't as much fun sticking ot a plan. But I am going to a Breast Cancer fundraising craft day on Sunday so I am only taking the baby project to make some good headway.
BTW I just had your minibooks book arrive Ali and it is totaly RAD! So inspring!

I've been planning to make wall art for Christmas gifts, but I've been putting it off. Guess I still have some time before Christmas, but I know it will go by fast ....

My son's baby, toddler and preschool scrapbooks. I think I'm afraid after I complete each LO, I will come across that PP that would have been even BETTER than the ones I went with. (Yikes!)
My wedding scrapbook. Again, what if I come across that perfect paper AFTER the fact?
All the old photos/memorabilia from my younger days. Don't want to get started until I dismantle the old photo album and SAFELY remove all pictures from it (the kind with sticky-back pages).
Wow... I think I'm feeling motivated to work on one of my son's LOs now... seriously! Off I go... :)

I've signed up to participate in a craft fair in October and for some reason i'm putting off making cards and altered frames for that. I think i've been so wrapped up in scrapping, I can't think cards!

I have a layout that I've been trying to put together about our Family Bed. I have pictures of our 3 kids who ALL ended up in our bed one morning. I can't find the right paper for this layout (of all things). There is so much fun paper out there. Something will inspire me one of these days and it will most likely be something I already have in my stash! I scrapbook chronologically and I can't move on to the next layout until this one is finished. I am way behind on my scrapbook pages!

I've been putting off my wedding album!!! We've only been married for two years so I am not that far behind but I am so afraid to start it because I know it is something I will look back on so often. I am afraid that in 5, 10, 20, 30 years I am going to hate the paper I used or the embellishments or whatever. What do I do? Right now I just have a bunch of pictures in a photo album and may never do it because of my fears that I will want to just redo it every 5 years!

My oldest friend passed away March 27th of this year. I want to do an album of our all too brief time together, but I can't bring myself to yet. I have the pictures ready, but it's still too painful, the loss is too fresh. Part of me feels guilty for putting it off, like I'm not doing enough to honour Jodi's memory, but I really want it to be special, and I just can't rush that...

The acrylic album would be perfect for the zoo book I've been postponing until I could find just the right album. Its sturdiness would be great for little hands, and tiny fingerprints would wipe off easily.

Unfinished layout? That would be my husband's hunting photos. For the life of me, these photos give me a scrapbooking block.

I have been putting off my son's baby book. I have so much fun scrapping the current pictures, that it is hard to go back in time (even though he is only 16 months old!!). Have to get going though...baby #3 is coming in April!! :)
