Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have 3 album kits from "The Button Farm" that I have been hoarding for a year because I'm waiting for the "perfect pictures" to use with them!

We lived in Pennsylvania for two years and for two years I've been putting off doing an album to highlight our time there!! I have no idea why though.

My husband and I went to Italy 5 years ago before the kids were born. I started an album documenting the trip but I just can't seem to finish it. I get inspired by other projects featuring the kids and start off on a different direction.

I've been putting off the "celebrating your 40th!" for my cousin. She turned 40 New Year's Eve and have not put it together yet. Time flies too fast!

Love these albums! I've been putting off doing my first day of school pages. After a few years it is hard to come up with something "fresh" when the pictures are more or less the same every year.

I've been putting off a tribute album to our experiences in Philadelphia, where we lived for four wonderful years. It's going to be a big project, and just want it to be very cohesive and perfect...

Wow. I've been putting off a lot of layouts for months. My son, an MP in the Army, is currently deployed to Iraq, and in spite of my plan to create a fabulous scrapbook of the photos he's been emailing home to me, I found myself staring at him in the pictures, unable to focus on anything but his face. I just couldn't get myself into the right frame of mind...I couldn't pick out papers and embellies, or decide on journaling, etc. So I finally gave up and simply collected the photos. His platoon is leaving Iraq on Sunday and will be home in the U.S.A. in about a week and a half. I suddenly feel like the world has been lifted off my shoulders... I'm energized and ready to create something beautiful for him. Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talent with us, Ali. I've scraplifted your beautiful layouts more than once. :-)

I have been putting off all my everyday stuff since I got married last summer. My wedding photos and photos of our new puppy have completely dominated my scrapbooking since then, so the really important every day stuff has been neglected!!

I've been putting off compiling my son's most important Kindergarten papers / artwork from last year. There's just so much STUFF, I'm not sure what to keep and what to toss, or the best way to make a meaningful album out of it.

I've been putting off finishing all the lo's from classes I've done, not sure why. I never manage to finsh a lo in a class and always come home full of enthusiasm to finish it but never seem to. I need a Unfinished Project day I think.

I would love to do a scrapbook (not just one or two layouts) of my honeymoon. It just seems to be such a big, daunting project that i never get around to.

I have three Disney trips that I've been putting off. I think mostly because I love Disneyland so much that I'm afraid I'll be tired of it by the time I"m done. I'm thinking I'm going to combine the photos from the three trips and just do a few great pages with tons of photos.

My Disney Album. Why - no reason exactly, just trying to figure out exactly how to 'tackle' it. we have been to Disney World 5 times since we got married, each time was for a different reason/visiting a different park (a few we have been to twice) - so i think i will group the album by trip and keep a 'project file' in case we go again to add to it. i want to create an easy design that can be duplicated throughout the album - just not there yet!

I have been putting off mini albums in general. They intimidate me a bit! But since I've got your new book I am really excited to get to work on some! I would especially love to do an acrylic book!

I just started the teaching program at the university i attend. All of that time in my classes and at the local elementary schools has left hardly any time to scrapbook... but I can't wait until Thanksgiving break.
