Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Yikes. I've been pretty lame about a mini-album that I promised my sister. Not because I am not eager to do it...I am. It's all about my brand new nephew...I've just been swamped at work and too tired to get my groove on. Must focus...or drink more coffee! LOL

I still haven't done an album for the semester abroad I did to Italy. I was such an amazing experience and such a wonderful time in my life, I get caught up in how to capture all that on paper and get overwhelmed.

I have been procrastinating even printing out the over 4000 pictures on my computer documenting my daughter's life. I stopped after one year old and I really want to work on a definitive book for each year and of course, there's kindergarten to make a special scrapbook for. (and the list goes on!)
Thank you for the great giveaway!

I've been putting off finishing my daughter's graduation album,(the graduation day, and party, and afterwards) because I worked so hard getting the senior year album done for the party, and now it seems like such a long time ago, and she has gone to college, so I should be motivated, (or at least have more time and can leave the mess out), but I work so much better when the pressure is on, and now the pressure is off, the party is over, and there's no deadline looming. :>)

Probably the one project that is most in need of completion would be creating a visual account of my wedding - nearly 16 years ago! We made the mistake of using a colleague's husband as our photographer, which in hindsight wasn't the best idea. Our photos still sit in photo envelopes, just as I picked them up from the processing center. I envision this project to not be a traditional album, as I will likely include many snapshots given to us by family and friends.

I've been putting off a coffee label mini album for my husband, he roasts his own coffee and then designs his own labels, they are really good and well worth recording, I'm just not sure of format yet as it needs to leave room for future labels

I've been putting off my wedding album...for four years now. When I got married I didn't know about digital scrapping and I was afraid of ruining pictures. Now it's just really daunting, so I keep procrastinating.

For once, I'm NOT putting off the project. I went on vacation at the end of July. When I got home I wanted to do a mini album speficially about the 24 car ride. Normally, I'd think about it for a while and then the desire would pass. But for once, I just started it... a little 8x8 acrylic album. It's 11 pages long and filled with TONS of journaling - using your official Ali's hand for titles. Would have used it for all the journaling, but I had to find something that I could squish more words into my small space. (Thanks for the font, btw!!) This is my first acrylic album and I've falledn head over heals for the format and the idea of really telling the WHOLE story.

My wedding! I have a vague vision of what I want, but I haven't done it yet. I have all the planning notes, samples etc. to add with it as well.
BTW, we just had our 7th anniversary! I just need to be brave and jump in and do it instead of thinking about it.

I've been putting off a mini album of our family cruise vacation this past May. Now I'm wondering if I will be able to remember all the little things I planned on writing about. I've figured out that a travel journal would have made my life easier. All I would have had to do now is go back and read about all those moments.

My mother's album. I promised I would put an album together for her of our family picutres. I didn't anticipate the challenges of scrapping with old pictures. I can't decide what to crop and my photo editing is not the best so scanning and printing is not really an option. Oh well. Some day I will finish.

Mini-albums from last Christmas, a travel one from earlier this year, and another road trip one. All being put off because I can't quite get a design look in my head to bring it together - or maybe that's my excuse for just being more than a bit daunted by it ;)

Hi Ali!
Love your blog SO much. I've been putting off documenting the year we lived in England - for my daughter. She would really cherish it because she was only 4 when we lived there - and she doesn't want to forget all those great details!!! I hope I get to it someday!
Thanks!
