Things I am inspired by + excited about

1. 3191 : A Year of Mornings is now available in book form. I followed this project last year online and loved seeing the photos side by side. There is something so magical and beautiful about how these ladies see and capture the everday. You can see some of the sample photographs and read more about the project here. You can also follow their current project here 3191 : A Year of Evenings.

2. Blankets & baby stuff (love the modern mobiles) from this etsy shop: Quiltbaby. Going for an orange, red, yellow, and cream theme in the baby room.

3. Cloth diapers : I did it with Simon for awhile when he was between one and two and am going to go for it with this baby from the beginning.
Cloth diapers have come a long way from those in the past. If you are
interested in reading more this is a good place to begin. This site also has a ton of photos for figuring out sizing and deciding which route you want to go. I am going with a combination of Kissaluvs (which are called "fitteds"), Chinese Prefolds, and Thirsties covers.

4. Fabric gift tags via an older post on The Purl Bee - Purl Soho's creative blog (thanks for the link Kristin). Lots of inspiring visuals on that site.
5. This project by Janet Hopkins.
I am going to use this inspiration (and her how-to) as the jumping off
point for my December Daily album this year. You can see last year's project here:
basically it's a daily record for the month of December. The key is
that you get it all ready BEFORE December so you can just be doing
small bits each day of the month. I love how she used the old book
cover and the binder mechanism. A similar project (her class project for Creative Escape) can be seen here.
Happy Monday! What's inspiring you lately?

I so second that of the cloth diapers Ali!!! I have a very dear friend who while preggo said " I think I'm going to give cloth diapers a go" and when we look them up, we found a new world of these soft and colorful cutie booties! I mean even the snaps are super cool. I was the host of her baby shower and we did the cloth diaper as a big o'l group gift.
This to me makes you one cool mom Ali!

i had to giggle as i scrolled down and under the cool cloth nappies (i use peapods) were the cool round cloth circles - so i just assumed that you must have found funky material breast pads for feeding ! so i giggled to myself as i read that they were gift tags, thanks for that, :)
