Two of my wonderful sponsors that operate etsy shops create products that would work great in your December Daily album and each one is giving away a couple packages of goodies today.
First up: four amazing sets of tags and accents from Elles Studio.
And second: two Vintage Christmas Art Journal kits from Evalicious.

This year, I am hoping to get even closer to the simple German-style celebrations, that my grandparent taught us. I particular, the Lebkuchen biscuits ...

I look forward to the magic of Christmas. I love to see the excitement and wonder in my children's eyes. I love to see their joy as they get excited about finding or making the perfect gift for someone. The wonder and delight as we decorate. The bliss of baking holiday goodies. The absolute giddiness of giving anonymously. Love it all!

There are two camps in my family: the gingerbread makers, and the gingerbread eaters. Each year, my father and my sister spend hours constructing and decorating a beautiful gingerbread house. I then spend hours doing drive-by nibblings: a shingle here, a jube-jube tree there etc. It drives my sister absolutely nuts; which is why I do it. It's the tradition I look most forward to every year. We get together, and I get to antagonize my very grown up sister just like we were kids. Secretly, I think she finds great satisfaction in knowing her creation is so tempting and delicious!

SHOPPING! Okay, I'm not completely crazy. I try to do most of my shopping during October and November and do a lot via the internet. But it's that quest for the perfect gift for each person on my list. This year I'm trying for more "meaningful" gifts, a lot of which will be hand made, so the shopping list has been more along the lines of multiple visits to scrapbook stores (both in person and online), office supply stores, and the like. It's the one time of the year when I can stretch a little and not feel guilty about what I'm spending.

I love the day we decorate. The house always smells so good from the candles burning, we play Christmas music, and the house looks so wonderful when we're finished. Warm and cozy and Christmas-y. I love it.

Most? Sitting quietly in front of the Christmas tree with my kids and telling them stories about the "old days of my Christmas past" (that's how they see my 44 year old memories, lol), and this year, finding a new way to record all the special holiday memories...

I'm homebound recovering from surgery and will until after the first of the year. Like many others this will be a hard Christmas and I'd love to make an album to help me commemorate it in ways that are more than gifts.

I am looking forward to documenting holiday traditions and the activities that our family participates in this Christmas as it is our daughter's first Christmas. Showing her the love and spirit in which her family celebrates the holidays is extremely important to me! I'm even taking the December Daily album to another level and making a November Daily album of sorts for lists/letters, etc. of gratitude.

I am in LOVE with that Vintage journal kit. That is adorable! I'm super excited about the holiday season because I'm flying to Connecticut to visit my best friend from college who just had a baby. I can't wait to see her and get my hands on her new baby girl. :)

Creating new traditions and to continue our favorite traditions: Being with family, making our own hot cocoa, finding a family to be Secret Santa to, the 25 days of Christmas (each day Santa's elf hides a little token of the season) ,and then on Christmas Eve the gold Star is placed on top of the Christmas tree.

I am looking forward to a SIMPLE holiday this year. Being grateful for the health of my family and just having a roof over our heads and food on the table.

I am very blessed to have an awesome family, one that if my job would permit, I'd spend the entire of the Christmas holiday with. But I am looking forward to spending any and all the little time I do have with them. And I'm looking forward to getting my daughter envolved too this year, I think it'll be totally special for her, maybe a tradition setting kind of year. That'd be cool!

I'm excited that my oldest son will be home for Christmas. He is in college 3000 miles from home and we only get to see him twice a year.

My favorite evening is going to our zoo in Columbus, Ohio and looking at all the lights. They do it up BIG!!! The cold air, the piped in holiday tunes, the twinkling lights, the hot chocolate ... they all combine to give me a really happy holiday feeling. My daughters love it, too!!
