I love the smell of winter candles, fires in the woodstove and hot cocoa with my kids and hubby. Turning off all the lights and sitting by the glow of the tree still always makes me feel the magic of the season.
Congrats on the the top 1000 designation....you deserve it!

I love making things. I am a stamper, so love stamping everything!! books, journals, cans, fabric, making name frames, cards, sb pages for my grandkids, making houses and villages out of cardboard and milk cartons(did a whole village as a kid), having friends over to create, making cookies, baking strawberry tea braids, making pecan fruit cakes!! there are so many things to do during the holiday seasons!! My daughter wants to do a Holiday Extravaganza this year after finals, during Dec..!! What fun!! I'm over 60, but holidays make me feel like a kid again!!

I just love the feeling of Christmas. It's such a happy time whether your a kid or an adult. And it's not about the gifts, but more about spending time with family. This year will be extra special because we'll have another addition to the family. Aaleiya is the first great grandchild. She's due any day now...

I love to put up my Christmas tree every year and love to look at the lights every evening.
This year will be a little difficult as my husband will be leaving for a one year deployment at the beginning of December. We may have to find some new Christmas traditions and activities to do this year to take the kids minds off of the fact that he is not here.

That vintage set is beautiful.
I love Christmas because it gives us the chance to get together with our entire family. Since we moved we dont often all get in one place at one time together.

I am most looking forward to watching my son experience his first Christmas. He'll be 11 months old then, and I can't wait to see looks of wonder on his face at our Christmas decorations (tree, lights, ornaments, etc.), presents, and other holiday happenings!

Christmas is my very favorite holiday! People are friendlier to each other, homes and businesses are beautifully decorated, and best of all....families come together to celebrate the season.

So many things to look forward to during the most magical time of year. To pick just one, I'll say that I'm eagerly anticipating putting my single electric candles into each of our windows. A favorite memory of mine from when I was a child, and I recently learned it is my daughter's (13) favorite thing of the season, too. :)

I have a new place to decorate! That's the most exciting thing. :) Although, last year we got rid of the really huge, really pretty tree that was too big for our last apt and now I really wish we had it still... It's still exciting to have a bigger place to decorate in, esp. with my son who will be 4 and that much more into things this year. :_

I just love the SMELL of Christmas. The cinnamony pine cone smell and all the baked goodies smell that comes out of my oven.
But most of all, the MAGIC it's going to bring to our family. This is my baby's first Christmas and the first time that my almost 4-yr old son is going to write a letter to Santa.
Now with kids, the magic just takes on a whole new level and my husband and I love that!
