Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We love to visit the local pumpkin farm and walk through the corn maze. We also collect a box of fall leaves to send to my mom in Florida. :)

For our family the fall traditions have changed slightly as the kids have gotten older. I am not a great one for change but I have learned to go with the flow a little. My oldest sons birthday is in October so our celebrations are kicked off at that point. Our favorite things to do in the winter is to bake, take walks, drive to the surrounding areas and take in the colors. I guess we just like to take time and smell the fall. =)

I love summer most but under the esthetical point of view fall is the most beautiful season... We're celebrating it by collecting all kind of 'outdoor-stuff' like chestnuts, acorns, coloured berries - for decoration or crafting or just for joy. One of the special moments is finding the first horse chestnut occasionally and thenn carrying with you the next months. Now, when the rain stops I have to go out and collecting the halloween deco. That's fall! Great!
Oh, and making tons of (makro)photos of coloured mushrooms, too difficult to collect :)
Have a great time!

I made pumpkin bread and homemade granola last night. The house smelled amazing. This morning I took a moment to watch our beautiful orange tree in the front as the leaves fell to the ground.

My family sets up for Halloween in September! We go all out with decorations, both vintage and made by kids, all over the house. We have a traditional Halloween party every year with pumpkin carving and caramel apples and home-made doughnuts. A great family tradition.

We have a wonderful place to visit here in Queen Creek, AZ, called Schnepf Farms. It is a tradition to visit it each year. It has the pumpkin patch and it definitely puts us in the mood for fall.

Sigh...
Living in coastal California doesn't make for the most dramatic seasons but we do what we can - visiting Half Moon Bay for the pumpkin festival and checking out the GIGANTIC pumpkins there, eating Noah's pumpkin bagels and schmear and focusing on family.

Fall begins with changing the dining room table cloth to fall colors! The fall decorations then come out one by one...first for Halloween and then will transition to thanksgiving and then to Christmas.

Living in Florida we do not get the beautiful change of seasons...but I do enjoy the cooler weather and puts me in a fall kind of mood. We also head to the local pumpkin festival and Thanksgiving together as a family...one of my favorite holidays.\

My very favorite things of all would have to be carving pumpkins around Halloween (and of course the visit to the Pumpkin Patch preceding it) and sipping hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Not the crappy kind of hot chocolate that you add water to, real, honest to goodness, high quality hot chocolate. Made with whole milk and sipped slowly....delish!

We just took family pictures in the leaves, they turned out gorgeous! We love to play in the leaves, pick out pumpkins and carve them, break out the sweaters, drink hot chocolate every day, go for drives to look at the beautiful fall colors, and just enjoy the weather before the snow hits! We LOVE fall... Thanks Ali.

The pumpkin patch is a favorite, with carving afterwards. Long amounts of time spent in the garden - raking leaves, playing in the pile then raking again-we love the colors and crispness of the fallen leaves.Third - lots of family game time with hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Ugh, I'm not really much of a fall person at all. When my son was little I always loved to take his picture in the pumpkin patch. He's 11 now so that won't do. Now I just like to stay in and stay wrapped up. And just hibernate until summer comes again. I don't like cooler weather at all.
