Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Our family celebrates Fall by decorating our house at the end of Sept with pumpkins and fall decor. Then it's off to the local farm in October where we take a hay ride, pick pumpkins, eat apples and play together - it's SO fun! We also start a bit of planning for Christmas and decide which goodies we're going to bake this year and what presents we're going to make and buy. Fall is one of our FAVORITE times of the year!

Fall is my favorite time of the year, but now that I live in Houston I have to "fake" fall in my home! Here are a few of my traditions...
Light my Harvest yankee candle, bake pumpkin muffins, and make apple crisp at least once a week!

Fall is my favorite season so we go all out; hot apple cider, hiking, hot chocolate, apple picking, costumes, you name it. But best of all; pumpkin pie and Nantucket cranberry pie! Yum!

We live in the southwest and we have been stuck inside for the summer, so we celebrate the fall by getting outside. We go out with the kids in the yard after naps and after dinner, we take walks in the neighborhood. We go to the local playgrounds and parks. We visit the local farms and pumpkin patches. We start baking and using the oven again. Fall is a fabulous time in the southwest and we celebrate the openness and fresh air and enjoy being outdoors.

Yesterday we went apple picking and today I'm going to make a big batch of homemade applesauce (once I find a recipe...I've never done it before!)
And next week, it's off to the pumpkin patch & having a pumpkin carving night!

We bake apple crisp, buy/carve pumpkins, hang ghosts from the tree in the front yard, rake leaves, jump in them, etc! I love fall in New England!

I love all things fall. I take out the fall decor on Oct. 1st and keep it up until Christmas stuff needs to go up. We go to the pumpkin patch and do trunk or treat at church. We love fall!

My special needs son has decorated our front yard with spooky decorations and it looks great. My 5 month old grandson isn't even scared of them (next year may be a different story). We've picked out our pumpkins and will carve them out this weekend and enjoy the fall colors, weather, and football. What's not to celebrate?!

We don't really get a Fall season here in Florida - so for our version of Fall I celebrate by opening up the house, because it's finally cool enough to not have the a/c on!

We visit a local apple orchard with another family every year, pick some of our own apples, take WAY too many pictures of the kids, and then afterwards head back to our house for some take & bake pizza. Nothing but the best... ;-)

there is so much to love about fall...
...salted caramel hot cocoa from Starbucks...foggy mornings...pulling out my scarves & sweaters...crisp fall air...trees so beautiful they look like they're on fire...happy pumpkins everywhere...and always trying a new tradition: this year, we made caramel apples! My kids were very intrigued that I made them when I was a little girl. :)

We celebrate fall with lots of decorations! Pumpkins on the porch, scarescrows, ghourds, fresh squash & the last of the tomatoes, etc.
Plus we like to take a ride each fall to enjoy the foliage. We have some of the best around!

I love the fall - photographing leaves, pulling out the sweaters for the first time, pumpkins (carving, candles, beer)!

I enjoyed reading what other people do for fall. I love caramel apples, fires in the fireplace, vanilla steamers and wrapping myself in a blanket while reaing or watching tv.

Where I live, I do not have fall. Instead it is hot and hotter :-)
However, there are lots and lots of cultural holidays, so we spend it celebrating those.

My girls and I decorate the house in oranges and reds and we bake with the frozen berries we picked over the summer. Mmm white chocolate blackberry scones!

we go to the local pick your own for pumpkin and apple picking (is there anything better than eating an apple picked right off the tree? i don't think so) and some apple cider doughnuts. if you catch it right you can get them still warm. they are so good.
my girls (4 and 6) also enjoy raking leaves (really you say) but it is only because they then like to jump in the said leaf piles.

We celebrate by several trips -- one to the pumpkin patch, one to the apple orchard, and we take lots of walks and pictures to make the most of the season.
