Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Wow, what an amazing giveaway! Thanks for this opportunity :)
We don't really celebrate Fall, but I do take tons of pictures of leaves! I love seeing the leaves change color during this time of the year.

We celebrate with all the traditional things (pumpkins, football, witches) but my favorite is just being outdoors and admiring the leaves. Nothing beats a weekend run on the trails in the glory of God's masterpiece.

Wow, that's a lot of comments. Probably no chance in you-know-where that I'll be picked as a winner, but of course that's not the only reason I'll participate! :o) We have several fall traditions: hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin (how many perfect pumpkins did Peter Piper pick?), pumpkin carving and costume parade (smallest parade ever - three kiddos) at my mom's and the high school homecoming parade to kick it all off. I absolutely LOVE fall! Thanks for the give-aways! Hope you have beautiful fall weather out in the northwest. It's completely gorgeous here in Indiana. Did I mention I LOVE this time of year? :o)

We live on the Smith River in Gasquet, Ca - for us it's about waiting for the first "big rain" when the river comes up and the salmon start running...my fall/winter life as a fishing widow is about to begin..for my husband, it's eat, fish, sleep! We also pile up pumpkins and gourds on our front porch, put up our outdoorinflatable pumpkin with ghosts coming out of it, hang up scary skeletons, build a fire every morning to warm up the house...

I'm all about senses so my favorite thing that can only be done in the fall is sort of a contest my daughter and I started a few years ago when we lived in the UK...I love the noise that fallen leaves make when you step on them so Brianna (she's 6 now) and I will go to the bike trails near our house and race to crunch the dried leaves. We walk, run, talk, smell, gather, observe... just the two of us. Enjoying every detail.

We're baking!! I just received two kid-friendly cookbooks, and I can't wait to start baking cookies twice a week with my three year old daughter.
As far as crafting and decorating, we are cutting out and decorating leaves from paper. Since the leaves don't change color here in Southwest Florida, we'll be making our OWN fall colors.
I'd also like to take some day trips, but I don't know if there's anything particularly "autumn-y" to visit. I'd LOVE to find a farm or pumpkin patch.

Our family celebrates fall by pulling out our decorations, favorite warm comfort food recipes that have been tucked away for the past 6 months, shopping for the perfect carving pumpkins and lastly our fall family photo shoot pics. Love this time of the year with my favorite. Things seem to slow down and we can enjoy one anothers company.

Hey Ali--- The fall season is a really special time, my husband and I both have our bdays (and you too, I think) My husband celebrates with lots of football watching! I love to take a lot of photos at this time of the year, it seems like the colors and light are so warm and comforting, I just want to capture it. I love a good cup of cider and this year, I made a center piece with a white pumpkin and I love it. Have a great day, thanks for the opportunity to share, you're the best!

Last year I started a new tradition-a Girlfriends Luncheon! I asked them all to bring 10 photos of things they were thankful for. I prepared little kits of 6 x 6 chipboard albums, paper, ribbon, quotes, adhesive, etc in cute little bags for everyone. HUGE, HUGE hit and a great day to celebrate friendships!

We don't get much of a fall here in Southern California - and I do miss the Midwest falls I grew up with. So I surround myself with fake fall leaves and fall colors in my tablecloths and clothes! I look at pictures from home and put out the apple and cinnamon candles!

Each fall we go to a local pumpkin patch with the kids. We have been doing this since my first child was 18 months. Now she is 4 1/2 and my youngest is almost 2. They have a sign that says "How tall this year?" and each year we take their pictures with this sign. Now that we have several years collected I'm excited about putting this into a framed series. They also love the hayride to get out to the pumpkin patch, not to mention all of the farm animals and the kiddie hay maze. I love that we have started this tradition for them to remember as part of fall.

Apple cider, ginger snaps, trips to the pumpkin farm, carving pumpkins, oohing and aahing at fall colors, making chili and cornbread when it starts to get cold, hay rides, baking fresh pumpkin bread, candy corn (we're on bag #2 and going for #3 this weekend!), "booing" in the neighborhood, decorations (fall, halloween and Thanksgiving), and I'm already counting down to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Love, love, love fall!

Our first date 9 years ago was at the pumpkin patch, and also the first time we held hands! so, we go every year and feel the magic! I celebrate the fall season by baking some gingerbread on the first cool fall day, by making butternut squash coconut soup with thai spices, by going to starbucks and having a pumpkin scone and a pumpkin latte, by going to baskin robbins and having a pumpkin ice cream sugar cone with my hubby. I celebrate fall by saving a perfect red leaf. i love watching the great pumpkin and picking out the halloween candy. I love going for hayrides. I lvoe baking a sour cream apple pie that was my grandmother's recipe, it reminds me of her.
