Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Fall Recipes...Chili, Stew, Roast Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with anything, that's fall.
Top it off with a Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake!
I love to make the house look cozy in the autumn. Something renews me when the weather cools and I feel like Nesting.
I'll bet you're really about the nest this fall with that little girl on the way.

I love changing over my kids closets for the cooler weather. I love sorting through and purging unneeded things and enjoying orderly closets as my reward.

Well, I'm in South Florida, so this is the time of year that's like spring everywhere else. It was 79 yesterday afternoon and I tell you I almost caught a chill! Fall means getting outside to play. We plan to plant flowers and some herbs and just enjoy the beautiful weather.

We celebrate fall by carving our home-grown pumpkins, by eating bowls of chili with cornbread, we rake and play in the leaves and take hikes in the surrounding New England hillside... Fall is an awesome time...

I love fall! We usually go on hikes when the leaves are beautiful, rake piles of leaves at Grandmas (we don't have any in our yard), make campfires to roast marshmallows and hot dogs, sip apple cider and eat homemade soup or chili and lots of things made with pumpkins such as pumpkin pies and pumpkin bread.

Fall is my favorite season - I especially love it when we turn the clocks back to standard time! Like others, we usually celebrate with a trip to the pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin patch, taking pictures of kids wearing their costumes daily, and spending time with family where the leaves turn colors.

Fall for me is about enjoying hot chocolate with whipped cream while sitting on the front porch and enjoying the sunsets which seem much more brilliant in the autumn season, while smelling the chimneys as they start up for another cold season. It is splendid!

We celebrate fall by going to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. It is so awesome to see all the balloons lift off. Then we go to our favorite place for cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. YUM!

We head out to pick apples for the day with friends and there is usually a petting zoo and fun things to do. Then, later that week, the moms get together to make oodles of applesauce. We freeze most of it and enjoy a fall treat all year long.

We LOVE the fall season in our house. We rake leaves and play in the piles before we bag them up to be collected. We go to the pumpkin farm and see how much we have grown since that last year we were there. We also love to bake pumpkin muffins and have the scent of pumpkin throughout our house. Fall is a wonderful time of year!

As I read through the comments already posted, so many of the activities sounded familiar, but from a time that seems long ago, when our children were small and life was "normal." A few years ago my husband sustained a serious brain injury. I still decorate, but our most significant "fall" activity is driving through town, noticing that the leaves are changing colors and acknowledging that the fact they are falling to the ground may have given rise to the name of the season -- repeated each time we go out. It is good to celebrate fall and enjoy it together one more year.

ah, a must have for celebrating fall is definitely hot cocoa! And when the leaves fall off the trees, I love to rake them and jump in them. It's also a tradition to pick our pumpkins from my dad's pumpkin patch. We always have family parties and fun get togethers. I can't wait to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies though!

Hi Ali! In Alaska we celebrate Fall the way most people celebrate winter. With snow gear, snowmen, snow tires and snow shovels!

Well, living in south FL. it's hard to celebrate fall. We are still wearing shorts and the air conditioner is running full blast. It might get down to the mid 80's at night. I can dream about the leaves turning beautiful colors and a little nip in the air and putting on a long sleeved T shirt. But alas it's all just a dream as I swing in a hammock in back yard and wipe the sweat off my brow.
