Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We plan lots of family activities this time of year to celebrate the fall. Our most favorite is our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. My daughters love to search for just the right pumpkin. Then afterwards we visit their petting zoo and do some of their carnival rides and games. And for me, it's one of my most favorite places to take photos.

Celebrating fall is going to the pumpkin patches, picking out pumpkins, taking pictures and enjoying one another! I feel as though it is a time to start relaxing right before the holidays!

Reading! I get back into reading on a regular basis once the weather gets cooler. Nothing better than snuggling under a warm blanket or next to a roaring fire and settling in to read a good book. I have a huge pile of book "to be read" on my nightstand right now!

Fall is my favorite time of year. If ever i get married, it will be outdoors here in the Shenandoah Valley. This is when my friends and i normally get a little more "outdoorsy". We go on hikes and camp up in the mountains. We wait til the fall b.c we know its too cold for the rattlers to snuggle up with you when you sleep under the stars. This coming friday i am excited to go on a couple hour hike just me and my love, up a mountain. We will camp up top for the night! Wow, just being asked the question of how you celebrate the season... i could go on forever. I guess i am just trying to say its a time to be outside more than ever. To watch the earth change colors and getting into warmer clothes. gotta love sweaters and boots!

Fall to me means, getting pumkins, planting mums, getting out our sweaters and putting extra blankets on the beds!

Our clan celebrates fall by going for a drive into the (nearby) mountains and counting how many colors we can see ~ this year the youngest (2 yrs) could help! We also spend time: outside raking leaves; puttering around in the garden doing the requisite fall duties; going out to buy pumpkins at the local patch; and processing apples for future pies, applesauce, and cider. We try to cram in as many last-minute family fishing trips as we can before it starts getting too chilly (although the die-hard hubby will continue throughout the winter, despite the ice). The first lighting of the fireplace is always accompanied with hot chocolate and peanut butter popcorn balls.

We celebrate fall at the apple orchard. We pick apples and pumpkins. We also go on the hayride at the orchard. We go home and bake with our apples.

I celebrate fall by baking apple pies! It is the perfect scent for the season -- all cinnamony/sugary/appley. Too bad the pies rarely last more than a day in my household!

Fall started in september with picking our apple tree that we 'adopted' in an orchard that uses environmently friendly methods (no disinfectants but ladybugs etc.)
As a druid (pagan) family we celebrate the Autumn Equinox and Halloween (although we call this night Samhuinn), so by now we have the carved pumkins and witch brooms out.
We go for walks in the woods with our neighbours when the sun shines and take lots of pictures. We have evening get togethers playing Colonists of Catan and this weekend our daughter learned to ride her bicycle.

Fall for us always includes a trip to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving & painting, and playing in the leaves. There's also evening fires in the fire pit and long morning walks in the brisk air. Snuggling under fleece blankets and wearing sweatshirts because we refuse to use the furnace til its really cold too!!
Thanks for these awesome contests!
