Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I just moved to the north this summer from the southwest and just realized I had been deprived of a real fall. This fall I am going to be in awe of the beautiful colors that emanate from the trees! It puts a smile on my face!

Fall is about being cozy with the family, last chance picnics and drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway, breathing in the crispness of the air, baking, snuggling, being together.

We love fall at our house. Among our traditions are to put at least one child in the leaf barrel while Daddy is raking leaves (and take a picture, of course). We also go to a pumpkin farm, carve pumpkins, and Trick or Treat!

We LOVE fall! It's such a beautiful time of year. We make a point to take a drive to check out the changing colors of the leaves. Our family also enjoys going to the pumpkin farm, where we choose our pumpkins from the field, ride a hayride, play in the hay bale maze, go apple picking. We definitely take lots of pics, as they make for the best scrapbook pages! We have made such wonderful family memories together doing this. I love baking apple crisp with the apples we picked together. One batch is never enough. Yum! The only thing I wish we had is a fireplace to cozy up to on those chilly nights! :) Fall is an amazing time!

Fall is a time of a lot of family togetherness time- which is great :) We go apple picking, pumpkin picking, hiking up Mount Batty, make a scarecrow, and make homemade Halloween decorations- those are all yearly traditions.
We also have the pleasure of a lot of fall birthdays- my son, my neice (on halloween!), and my sister.
And then of course there is Thanksgiving- which I just love because I get to see so much family I don't see very often. Though here in Maine Thanksgiving sometimes feels like winter- it's so cold by that time!

I tend too get cooking, baking and so on. Preferably with pumpkins or apples, real fall food. I absolutely adore pumpkinsoup, pumpkinwaffles, and pumpkincupcakes. And walks in the park with all these great colors!

Movie night once a week with a "scary" family Halloween movie. Chili on the day we carve pumpkins. Lots of pumpkin candles. Lots of pumpkin bread.
Happy Fall to you!

Evenings are spent with autumn scented Yankee candles going and our central heating on, snuggling down on the sofa with the duvet & my bf watching TV at the weekend when the CH switches off for a few hours :) Last year was the first year I bought and carved a pumpkin so I'm looking forward to doing that again this year!

I love Fall! The beauty found in the changing colors of the leaves before they fall, the busy activity of all the local squirrels as they get ready for the impending winter, the crisp scent in the air and the smell of fireplaces burning....
Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
Warm Homemade Socks
Cozy nights spent reading and crafting....
and most of all,
Gathering and raking all the leaves we can find into a HUGE mountain....then taking a big leap forward into the season, hand in hand into the huge pile of leaves! After that we usually end in a leave fight! LOL
good times!

We did an activity this year that will definately be add to our fall line-up of pumpkin patches, halloween costumes and apple cider from the local orchards.
We were at our school's annual Fall Fest and one of the activities was a leaf project where all different colored leaves were collected and then placed in a design on a square board (about 12X12). A thin white cloth (the texture was close to that of a hankie...which could also be used!) was then placed over the leaves. The kids then pounded the boards where the leaves were with hammers and before long they had these awesome multi-colored leaf print designs on their cloth. I had never seen this before. The kids (and adults)had so much fun! What an awesome way to capture the colors of fall!!!

We celebrate the Fall season so many ways. We always hit the local apple orchard for apple picking, cider and donuts. We go to the pumpkin patch. We make leaf piles and jump in them! Decorate the house with all things fall - lots of pumpkins, mums, corn, etc. We love taking a hike through the nature center - so many beautiful leaves - such pretty colors!! The last few years we've also went to some Corn Mazes - some very challenging - some just fun!!
Fall is the BEST time of year!!

Fall is the preferred season around our house. We love the fall colors, soups, squash, baked goodies. We revel in all things fall but our favourtie thing to do in fall is to find the perfect spot to take our family pictures, shower each other in piles of multi coloured leaves, then head to the local farm for corn mazes and hay rides.
Isn't fall the best?

Fall is a favorite. We always let the kids pick out a pumpkin for their jack-o-lantern and then we always include some apple cider and donuts. I love to decorate my front porch with a few colorful mum plants and various pumpkins--leaf wreath on my door. The kids love to eat pumpkin...so I've found lots of recipes for pumpkin pancakes, muffins, cookies and dip. Toasted pumpkin seeds are always a hit. Today the kids all took them in their backpacks for their school snack. Lots of color, warmth, and much pumpkin sprinkled on top of our fall!

We celebrate by always going for a "photo-shoot" walk in a forest with my DH, 12 and 8 year old . The leaves are beautiful and the air is so crisp. We have hot chocolate when we get home and I have plenty of time to edit the precious photos. Heaven.

Fall is my absolute favorite. Not only do we get to do alot of baking but we get to visit with family as well. We also like to go to the fish hatchery to watch the salmon go up the ladder. It's a great time to see the Salmon swim up the river and spawn while having hot cocoa and going for walks by the river. Happy Autumn!

My husband and I host a HUGE family bonfire. This year will be the 11th year and we're expecting 80 people. It is so fun to roast hot dogs, eat chili, decorate pumpkins, and enjoy time with our wonderful extended family and friends!
