Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Fall is beautiful in New England. We enjoy the foliage, apple picking and continue the 28 year old tradition of taking pictures at the pumpkin farm.

We celebrate with two weekend trips--one to Vermont and then to Hyde Park, NY to visit my brother on Columbus Day Weekend. The foliage is always beautiful. Then a week or two later a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario with good friends to take in a play or two at the Shaw Festival and do some wine tasting.

I can't say I've had traditions up until this year now that I have a son - is one year enough to count as a tradition??? :) I'd like to make the pumpkin patch and apple picking traditions, and then see what else we can add.

A trip to the pumpkin patch, a little warm pumpkin pie and a trip to the Bucks for a pumpkin spice latte with soy.. It's the most wonderful time of the year!

We don't really have a fall, but we enjoy a break in the heat and sometimes even have to turn off the air conditioning.

We have started a few family traditions for celebrating fall over the last 3 or 4 years. The state fair kicks things off for us at the beginning of Oct. In mid-October it is a trip to the pumpkin patch and the Harvest carnival at school. After trick-or-treating on the 31st, we get prepared for Thanksgiving by decorating and baking. I love this time of year because there are so many different ways to celebrate this season.

For sure become a regular customer of the Pumkin Spice Latte from Starbucks (learned that from you!). With the family, it's a trip to Eugster's Farm & Petting Zoo to see the animals, take a hay ride to the pumpkin patch and buy one of their famous pies. Yep, it's all about food.

halloween cut out cookies with frosting. make the dough, let it chill, then the kids choose their favorite cut-outs, and let the fun begin. they are gobble up within 2 days, so I always freeze a dozen to bring out on Halloween.

Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors, the smells, warm blankets and sweaters. Every fall in early October we go apple picking. That night we make apple betty for desert and then the next day I make crock pot applesauce. YUMMY.
Often times we go hiking, and take a scenic drive pretending we are tourists come to the area for "leaf peeping". We visit the local Pumpkin Festival, although it's becoming way too crowded these past years.

We have an annual pumpkin picking day at my dad's pumpkin patch with all the grandkids. Also, I love celebrating Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for each year.

We celebrate fall with a BYOP Party. Everyone brings their own pumpkin, I supply all the "stuff" to decorate... mr potatoe head attachments, paints, stickers, ribbons, rhinestones, carving kits with patterns for the older guests, etc. I make two - three soups in crockpots, grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade hot chocolate. Yum!

Here in New England we have ample opportunities for fun in the fall, Our family always goes on our annual hayride, my husband and I started this tradition 13 years ago after we got married on Oct.11th, This year with our 3 kids we started a new tradition(we put up a new tire swing and pile up all the leaves from our old sugar maple tree and let the kids swing and jump into the leaves off of the swing) They love it!!
