Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I have great memories of Valentine's Day. Waking up to a heart box full of special candies, making valentine's for friends and lots of baking!

DH and I spend Valentines Day at home. We cook a special dinner together and give each other a card. Simple and sweet.

Ali, every Valentine's day I leave a trail of Hershey's Kisses from my kids bedrooms leading to their Valentine's gift. They are so excited the night before anticipating waking up to see what awaits them. Also I am thinking I will fill my shower with red, pink and white balloons to surprise my husband.

(almost) every year for Valentine's Day I create a handmade card for my husband. I'm not typically a cardmaker, but this is my attempt to give him something handmade & from the heart.

All of my dear friends get a handcrafted card and maybe something fun, like a music CD I have made, or chocolates from my kitchen. I cut my son's toast into heart shapes for breakfast, or heart shaped pancakes, and then I whip up a big fancy dinner for all three of us. And I eat chocolate all day long without guilt.

Valentine's Day is always a bit of a surprise ... usually for me. The first year my husband and I were together (before we were even married), he surprised me with a whole series of huge homemade valentines (on my bed, in my car, etc.) as well as a desk at work COVERED in signed kiddy valentine cards and conversation hearts, plus a chocolate "key" to his heart - and a real key to his house. It made quite the impression - on me as well as my coworkers. Later years, he employed my boys in the surprises. This year, I'm thinking it's my turn to surprise them and so I'm starting to think about what I could do... I'm sure I'll get lots of inspiration from you and your followers!! :)

I will most probably sent little handmade card to the loved ones in my life that I don´t get to see very often - and there will probably be some tulips on our dinner table, and probably some heart-inspired dessert! Mabe me and the kids will make cupcakes and decorate them with little hearts?

I have little pails from Target's dollar spot and put a few things (candy, pencils, etc.) in them and make a card for each of my boys. My husband gets a handmade card in his lunchbox. One year, I put heart-shaped post-it notes all over the house where the boys would find them. Each year, I take a few pictures and scrap a page of the cards and pics.

I don't yet have a Valentine's tradition but would like to start one this year. My little boy is two, so I think it's time to do something special for him each year, like a special breakfast, a handmade valentine, and treats throughout the day.

Hi Ali,
My little boy and I make some cookies (heart shaped, of course) and then we deliver them, along with our home-made valentine's to his friends. Then the three of us, my husband included, go out for lunch and enjoy each other's company.

Every year I cut hearts out of construction paper and write notes on them and then put them on my son's door while he's sleeping. And we always try to have something white/red for dinner. Usually spaghetti, which is his favourite.

oh thank you for sharing links to all those yummy things!
Valentine's day isn't a "big" holiday with us - but I do make cards for my dh and kids along with cute little things for the kids to get when they wake up.

We have a few traditions. The kiddos and I always cut out hearts and then write things on them we love (and people) and hang them on the windows. My hubby and I always watch the movie Return to Me on V-Day evening. (we have for the entire 8 years of our marriage.) and have a nice dinner together after our kiddos are in bed.

We usually celebrate Valentines Day by creating cards and Cupcakes or cookies for all those we love! As my son has gotten older it's hit and miss as to if he wants to do it or not.
Let's hope he's up for it this year!!

our three are 18, 19 & 21, so i try and celebrate first thing in the morning. they receive a special breakfast treat {whatever is their favorite} and a little valentine with some type of 'goodie'. {at this point a goodie is considered a gas card, food card, etc.} then if we are all home for dinner, a homemade dinner that is the family favorite... chicken cordon bleu, stuffed mushrooms, twice baked potatoes, salad, garlic cheese bread and some kind of yummy dessert.
for my husband, usually a handmade valentine of some sort.
what great new items and thanks for sharing wih us!!!

Valentine's for me has always been a family thing. My mom was single growing up so she would make us kids a candelight spaghetti dinner :) I always loved that. With my kids we usually do a heart shaped pizza along with little treats of some kind. Also, my bday is the 13th and my stepdad's is the 14th so we celebrate those too!
