Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

For years I was the "Valentine's Day Grump" (decorated w/black hearts, etc.). Even after marrying my valentine, still wasn't my favorite holiday 'til the kids came along. Now I try to make it special for them with handmade "collage heart" cards of their favorite things "right now" or a mini album of why I love them.

I make special cards for my granddaughters and always tuck in Valentine socks. My husband and I always go to our favorite restaurant the night before Valentines day, as the actual night is always so busy.

I don't plan to celebrate Valentine's Day this year.
I'm a single girl, and I've found the pressure to have a "Valentine" to be too much in the past. Instead of celebrating, I'm going to try and embrace the fact that I'm single and and lovable even though I haven't found "the one" yet.

This year my lovey hubby will actually be back home from Iraq, so I'm planning on making Valentine's Day a BIG celebration. In about 4 years of marriage, we've only had one Valentine's Day together. I usually make a playlist of happy "in love" songs and play it all day long. We get dressed up a little more special, just in case cupid floats by. I write a special top 10 list of the things I love about each family member. We make pretty pink and red cupcakes to eat together and share with neighbors. Who doesn't need a little extra love. Then, after the kiddies are in bed my Mr. Man and I will watch a lovey movie and cuddle. Then we start a fire and just relax and enjoy each other. Who needs gifts?

It's the best birthday hangover day! My husband may not agree since he has two holidays back to back to celebrate...

I always pick up chocolate for my boys. My one son has a serious peanut/nut allergy so I usually cannot buy the standard boxed heart. But still, chocolate is a must. Lisa L.

I really love valentines day...but since we had kids my husband and I don't do much. So every year I leave alittle something special on the breakfast table for each of my girls. They just love it!

I always try to buy my kids a little toy and treat telling them I love them on Valentine's Day. That night my husband and I go out to a really nice restaurant which is nice because we rarely get alone time with 4 children.

My mother always made very sweet gifts for me on Valentines day so I have continued that tradition. The idea is that the gifts are very personal, well thought and hopefully hand made.
My husband would rather skip Valentines day, too much pressure, but I love it. Last year I ordered him a pizza from a place out of state that he loves.

My husband was in Iraq the past two Valentines, but I still managed to send a love note via email. That is also something we do with our kids...leave a little note in their backpack or something along those lines. We forego the traditional chocolate & flowers...both are gone too quickly...but love notes can be kept forever!

Each year we don't do something particular. I always try to come up with something creative in the way of food for breakfast and maybe a cake for desert after dinner. I have loved reading the comments here! I usually get the kids a box of treats (their current personal favorites) and a small stuffed animal. I love Valentine's day. =)

I give my son a box of chocolates and the cutest, softest (and, at the same time, coolest) little Valentine's stuffed animal I can find. Not sure how I'm going to beat last year's kissing monkey!

My hubby and I buy the kids a little something, and sometimes we bake and decorate sugar cookies. Then, we get a sitter (usually grandma and grandpa) while we go out to a great dinner!

We always give our two kids a little something sweet on Valentine's Day...something to let them know how much we love them. Wearing red is another tradition we try to keep up with every year, also. Just feeling the love around the house is all one could ask for! :)

I always make valentine cards for my family. My girls (teenagers) still love to buy packets of cards at the grocery store and give them to friends. This year, we will be driving to Seattle on St. Valentine's Day for ballet auditions so maybe we'll find a little something fun to do over there!
