Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.
[ Three Things is a weekly product series : check out the archives here. ]

This is our first Valentine's day with our new daughter, so this year we are going to start a new tradition. Each Valentine's day my husband is going to write a little note telling his daughter how much love he has for her. I hope it will be something that she will cherish the older she gets.

We always do cards or letters of love and a little box of heart chocolates for the kiddos but other than that nothing in the way of traditions. We try very hard to show our love for each other in many little different ways throughout the year and not just on Valentine's Day. Love reading through the posts though! Jotted down some sweet ideas. Thank you Ali.

For the past 5 years, I have sent my boyfriend on a cool little scavenger hunt to find little presents, chocolates, etc. It's so fun coming up with new places every year!

My little brother was born on Valentines Day so we always spend the day with him! It sure took the pressure off of trying to find a date or trying to get reservations at a restaurant, now that I'm married =).

On V-Day, I usually make my little dudes a card or something crafty and give to them. I know that they will appreciate them later in life (or at least I hope) so I always keep them. My big dude (my hunka hunka burnin love hubby), I tell him the same thing every year and I mean it, "Thank God you're mine."

My Fiance in the past, would give each other homemade coupon books. With meaningful coupons. This year in addition to our coupon books, we're going to go out and celebrate our engagement with a trip to a zoo. The place where we had our first date.

Since it is usually really expensive & crowded to go out to dinner on valentines day, my boyfriend & I usually go out to a special dinner the day before & then just stay home & relax on valentines day.

My dad always came home with a little heart chocolate box for me. I still have boxes saved. We didn't have a lot of money, so it was an extra special treat. I still continue this tradition with my kids - and even buy a little something for my busy husband to give to them as he walks through the door from work. I'm hoping it means as much to them.
I've also started cutting out pancakes & sandwiches in heart shapes that day, or making the reverse heart punch a stencil and dusting the plate with the shape to make it special.

My dd and I love to make lots of crafts for family members! We usually have little gifts for them including a big hershey kiss. We also celebrate my birthday which is the 13th!

We probably go too out of the way for Valentines Day, but I love making a big deal about the holidays since my little girl (2 years old) enjoys it! My husband and I will decorate our apartment in pink and red crepe paper and hearts everywhere. We also give our daughter a card and some candy and usually my husband gets her some kind of stuffed animal and then we have a Valentine's Day breakfast before dad goes to work.

I like to decorate for the entire month with pink and red hearts all over the house. Individual heart shaped crocks are used for baking stratas and heart shaped muffin tins make the cutest muffins.

Usually a nice meal for my DH and three boys, and a yummy dessert...something with chocolate. Can't have Valentine's Day without chocolate.

Wow Great giveaways! Our tradition is that my daughters and I will make daddy a special treat for when he comes home from work, usually a heart shaped something (cookie or cake). So fun.

My husband's birthday is the 13th, so I'm the one who usually does the big Valentines Day plans. I try to do things like make a nice romantic meal for the two of us after the kids go to bed, but he usually does something special for me too.

As a family we make heart-shaped sugar cookies and decorate them, we plan a red and pink colored meal and invite over the cousins to have a play. Then we enjoy our great meal and top it off with some cookies.
Love it! Doesn't cost much and involves everyone.

My husband and I don't always do something specifically on Valentine's day, but around that time we always do an overnight trip. Sometimes we go to a B&B. This year we're doing an overnight ski trip. On Valentine's day we always cook a good dinner.

I'm going to make a special card for my husband to remind of all the things I love about him. I tell him all the time, but sometimes it's nice to have it all down in black and white. I'm thinking heart shaped pancakes for the kids in the morning :)
Thanks!
